Gameplay Experience

Pros:

  • "We played for hours!! We laughed so much we cried almost every round."
  • "The game is a ton of fun, especially with a larger group."
  • "This is pretty hilarious, haven't played with friends yet, but I can already tell it's going to be so much fun lol."
  • "Played with my parents and grown children. We all had a lot of laughs."
  • "We had 10 people for New Years Eve ages 21-58 and played until we exhausted every card in the box!"
  • "This game is really fun. Even more fun with a few drinks in you! Kind of like Cards Against Humanity, but with memes."
  • "Played this with a large group of adults and we couldn't stop laughing."

Cons:

  • "Marred with spelling errors and very poor sentence structure this game leaves little to be desired."
  • "This game was Sooooooooo LAME."
  • "They need to come out with more expansion packs (I already purchased two) because the jokes get old after like two rounds."
  • "Super funny game but definitely one you can only play once in a while as it gets old quickly."
  • "When you have been through all the pictures once it’s no longer interesting."
  • "We found the pictures un-relatable, and the selection of answer cards uninspiring."
  • "THIS game aims to be offensive without any subtlety. So it is lazy in it's writing."

Content and Themes

Pros:

  • "There are explicit cards separated from the rest (way funnier) of the deck which is convenient for playing with various age groups."
  • "Great purchase! Pros- Funny instructions- Popular meme images- little art stand so everyone can see the meme image for the round."
  • "It's nice because the game has mature content cards which can be added or removed depending on who's playing."
  • "Really fun game. We printed some photos of our friends and fam to add a personal touch."
  • "Great captions and great photos!"
  • "Pros- very simply to play, quick learning curve and easy to modify with house rules."
  • "Loved the big, quality photos of the memes and hilarious descriptions."

Cons:

  • "Even then some of the captions were a little inappropriate but they either weren't that offensive or went over their heads so it wasn't concerning."
  • "A little inappropriate for younger kids for sure...but we enjoyed it with my in laws haha."
  • "The concept sounds like fun but the phrases on these meme cards are tawdry and frankly only funny if you are interested in sexually explicit descriptions."
  • "No one told me I would be purchasing something with Pepe cards inside. As everyone knows these cards are a symbol of hate and used by the alt-right."
  • "TLDR: white supremacist imagery, misogynistic messages, creators unresponsive to customer requests for editing/replacing cards, we burned our game, that's how bad it was."
  • "By 'adult' they mean crude, rude and disgusting. It needs more of a warning than 'adult.'"
  • "Half the product and memes/cards are funny and good for a group laugh and the rest are complete trash filled with pornographic slang references and expletives."

Replayability and Expansion

Pros:

  • "Lots of cards, hence they don't repeat that quickly."
  • "I really hope they continue to make expansion packs, but I'd like to see some extra picture cards either added to those packs or sold as a separate expansion pack."
  • "If they already have expansions we’re going to get them, if they don’t have expansions they should start the plans!"
  • "I think it's a game you could replay a lot of times, especially with different groups of people."

Cons:

  • "You do not get that many cards in this game. And the minute you restart, it's not as fun anymore."
  • "Be way more fun if you could write your own captions. You go through all the photo cards in two games."
  • "Cards and Gameplay get boring after a while (booster packs help, but after about an hour, everyone is done playing)."
  • "The game was super fun at first, then I realized it’s because they only had a small deck of cards that were actually funny."

Quality and Design

Pros:

  • "The meme cards themselves are very large and good quality paper."
  • "The quality of the cards is excellent. Glossy, firm and the pictures/phrases are very funny."

Cons:

  • "The stand is made of cardboard and each one folds and I think this will rip soon, so I suggest being extra careful with these (should have been plastic!)."
  • "The little easel is cute too, but more or a PITA, so we stopped using it."
  • "Somehow the box got wet before I had removed the protective plastic covering which incased the unopened box and the cards were wet and as a result stuck together and got warped so I had to throw them away."

Family and Age Appropriateness

Pros:

  • "This game is HILARIOUS!! Great for families or friends."
  • "This game is so fun and funny. Appropriate for any group of people too."
  • "For those who are wondering if this game is family friendly, I would definitely say so."

Cons:

  • "It's not really appropriate for kids but we just take marked the more adult cards to easily remove them to play with the older kids."
  • "I would not recommend around children as there is some very provocative language, this is definitely an adult game."
  • "Fun game but beware of the 'Adult Content' cards are really graphic."
  • "Just be careful with the content on some cards. Middle school kids want to play - and on the surface it seems like a perfect, easy game for that age group - but there really are a number of cards with adult content which aren’t necessarily appropriate for the younger kids."
  • "Make sure to clear out the dirty cards before you let your kids/teens play!"
