  • "These had no support, gave me no comfort and had to be trimmed before I could fit them into my shoes."
  • "The arch support ridge does not touch my arches."
  • "The inserts offer little arch support. The arch is not very high and does not cover much of the total arch area of my foot."
  • "They didn't hold its shape as long as the Powersteps did and went completely flat in the arch under my weight and extremely flat feet."
  • "The arch support is like standing on concrete and really begins to hurt your foot."

Comfort and Fit

Cons:

  • "Honestly .... it has like this very hard plastic around the soul of the foot area and it’s very uncomfortable."
  • "These feel like rocks and make my shoes too tight for my feet because they are so big."
  • "Wrong size description and I tried to return the item and wouldn’t let me."
  • "I ordered the size that says it fits Men's 10-11.5. No way these were going into anything smaller than an 11.5."
  • "Bought a replacement for my previous size 9 Spencos and these are too big!!"
  • "I wore for my 8 hour shift and feet didn't hurt but made my toes completely numb."

Quality and Durability

Pros:

  • "They are durable - have been used daily now for three weeks - and they have held their firm shape."
  • "These are lightweight, and the first insoles which have helped my feet."
  • "High quality and no signs of breakdown after over 2 months!"
  • "These are much better than the original total support....max is much more comfortable and they are one of the better made insoles quality wise."
  • "I've been wearing these insoles for months and they have not worn down."
  • "These Spenco Insoles are great."
  • "These inserts are super awesome! Great quality and super support."

Cons:

  • "I’ve used Spenco insoles for ages with excellent results, but the newest variety with the rock hard rigid heel and arch support hurt my husband’s and mine as well… sometimes softer is BETTER."
  • "I found the supports to be inferior in arch supportiveness vs other brands."
  • "Spenco’s quality has really gone down."
  • "Unfortunately my first pair only lasted about 6 months."
  • "They felt super hard/stiff without very much cushioning."
  • "After wearing these inserts in my sneakers for a couple weeks the plastic on the bottom started breaking apart."
  • "These are no good. Timberland, Happy Feet and the green and yellow spenco’s are all better."

Value for Money

  • "Sizing is not accurate too big. Bought what should have been my shoes size they are way too big. And you can't return them. Pretty expensive error on their part."
  • "For my plantar fasciitis foot it hasn't helped much."
  • "The Spenco insoles are not the cheapest insole around, but they are the one that works for me."
