Adhesion

Pros:

  • "They adhere well. They are meant to remain in place for days."
  • "It adheres well and does not come off with the friction of movement in the sneaker."
  • "They stay on you foot like as if glued on."
  • "Make sure your feet are dry and clean before applying, rub on firmly for 10 seconds or so. Stays on for days, even through showers."
  • "They also stay on until you choose to remove them, even if you shower or take a short swim."
  • "They adhere well and don’t come off in the shower."
  • "They are completely seamless when applied correctly, so they don’t come off until you take them off."

Cons:

  • "I used this and it was fine until it fell off. It did not last the day."
  • "I tried again and within 30 seconds in a shower, it slipped right off."
  • "I tried another pair and it happened again. 4 bandages wasted in half an hour."
  • "Within one hour, both had fallen off. They did not stick well at all."
  • "I tried these twice and both times they fell off when my feet got sweaty."
  • "The only complaint I have is that they come loose after a full days wear or when taking a shower."
  • "Does not stay put. Partially pealed up on my heel--even without wearing shoes--necessitating its total removal within a day."

Effectiveness

Pros:

  • "These worked extremely well for my trip with the 100,000 steps I took the whole week while at Disney world."
  • "I started using these after seeing so many videos on TikTok about them - these are very effective on deep hormonal acne (face, chest, and in my case on my back)."
  • "The Hydro Seal band-aids work much better than regular band-aids because they are much more water resistant."
  • "They work great for dealing with existing blisters or even just highly-sensitive areas."
  • "They work for cuts as well as blisters."
  • "They really do cover blisters and keep shoes from rubbing that area."
  • "They work very well and did help my scratch heal faster."

Cons:

  • "These were useless... After a short time my shoes rubbed right through them!"
  • "I’ve tried several different brands of these — highly recommend Compeed as the best I’ve tried. These aren’t as ‘cushioning’, don’t keep their adhesiveness long enough, etc. I’ll be going back to Compeed."
  • "I had so much hope for this product and was sadly disappointed."
  • "I was hoping Band Aid brand would have a better product then this. They don't stick to skin very well and fall off too easy."
  • "I find this version of the Hydro Seal bandaids (made specifically for the heel) don't stick as well to the skin as other versions."
  • "These really are only for blisters as the size only lends itself to fit on your ankle but I am rather disappointed in them as they do not stick nearly as well as the other Hydro seal Band-Aids I have tried."
  • "These were so disappointing. They absolutely did not stay on my feet and would peel off and attach to my shoes every time."

Cost

Pros:

  • "I bought these to try the trick where you use one of these to get rid of a pimple. BOY OH BOY it works exactly the same as MUCH MUCH more expensive pimple patches!"
  • "Price is more than fair for a waterproof bandage that heals and protects."
  • "And they are so affordable I usually buy 4 packs at a time to stock up!"
  • "A little smaller in size dimensions than expected, but overall a great value compared to the compeed ones."
  • "They are a little pricey cause it comes with very little but they definitely work."
  • "If I was using regular bandages I would have gone through at least 4-5 by now so I think the cost weights out the same."
  • "They are not inexpensive, but not missing run days because of blisters makes it worth it."

Cons:

  • "Since they are so expensive I sometimes remedy that with pieces of athletic tape at the edge where it is coming up and that has worked fine."
  • "Too expensive to waste!!!"
  • "These were very expensive in my opinion."
  • "The only reason for only 4 stars is that they are quite expansive."
  • "Very expensive band aid $8."
  • "These bandages are a little more expensive than the regular bandaids but they are worth it."
  • "The only drawback is that they’re a little pricier than regular bandaids but maybe not if you compare the cost of 1 hydrocolloid to 5-6 bandaids."

Comfort

Pros:

  • "I love these for preventing broken skin and blisters on my heels when I am breaking in new shoes."
  • "Get these please they are great for the rubbing and the constant constant pain. It makes it feel like you’re walking on hydrogel wish they had an in sole. Tht felt this good."
  • "They are fairly thick to cushion the area and water proof."
  • "Great for healing wounds that need time to heal."
  • "When I put that on, immediately pain is gone away."
  • "They are so cushiony. And rubbery. Makes blisters a lot less painful."
  • "They are very good at protecting your heels and they STAY."

Cons:

  • "I used this during a very strenuous training program, and although it relieved the pain and protected the blisters for a time, it ended up being for too short of a time."
  • "I had a full thickness blister on my heel that I put a regular bandaid on and it still rubbed until it bled. I used one of these Blister Bandaids, and not only did the pain magically disappear, I was able to play tennis 2 days later and felt nothing."
  • "Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold up for my entire walk (7-8 miles)."
  • "They didn't stay on forever if you do a lot of dishes and cleaning."
  • "I walk 6-8 miles on a treadmill everyday and get really painful blisters. This bandaid had shifted upwards out of my sock and was tearing my heel up making it worse!"
  • "Used these on a blister on my achilles (like pictured on box) and they did not stick at all."
  • "Protect the blister well but it is NOT breathable at all."

Healing

Pros:

  • "They will stay on and heal your skin!"
  • "They stick really well and last several days."
  • "Seriously helped protect, heal and reduce pain."
  • "I feel like they heal the blister faster also!"
  • "I’ve been using these since they first came on the market. For a week they last through showers and walking (even barefoot!). When they come off, you are healed."
  • "They really do work well and they have really helped with the pain and discomfort I get from these things."
  • "Once a wound is clean, pop one of these on it and it almost bonds to the skin... and will last a week or more."

Cons:

  • "I had so much hope for this product and was sadly disappointed."
  • "I tried these twice and both times they fell off when my feet got sweaty."
  • "These were so disappointing. They absolutely did not stay on my feet and would peel off and attach to my shoes every time."
  • "Unfortunately, it doesn’t hold up for my entire walk (7-8 miles)."
  • "They didn't stay on forever if you do a lot of dishes and cleaning."
  • "This product is clearly old and does not adhesive at all. This product is garbage-please do not buy."
  • "A few hours on and my sore was much worse! This was the worst I have ever seen."
