Ink Quality

Pros:

  • "The ink doesn’t smear, dries instantly and is dark enough to read."
  • "Clear, no smudge, easy to hold and very fine point."
  • "They don't bleed(depending on paper quality), they don't smudge, they work fantastically with watercolor for fine crisp lines."
  • "Gorgeous, clean lines, completely waterproof, and doesn't bleed through."
  • "They are great for art, because they have different points and thicknesses."
  • "I love that the ink doesn't smear or bleed."
  • "I’ve used these since 2021 and the best thing that’s happened no longer having to use tue 3.61$ fine liners at five below."
  • "These pens seem to work really well. Paper texture is important, too, so for watercolors, you might try hot pressed watercolor paper if you want smooth lines."

Cons:

  • "I was very disappointed to receive a package that was already opened. One of the caps was not clicked on properly and the marker was dried out."
  • "However, this batch, as well as the previous batch, I bought from this vender, has ruined several art piecesThese new pens, tend to smug easily and I have had to repaint so many finished paintings."
  • "I purchased these as a set I bought nearly 10 years ago just started drying out. Been using these for a couple weeks now and they are almost all completely dried out and unusable."
  • "Buyer beware. These in general are wonderful pens for art and drawing. Unfortunately half of my pens showed up nearly dry and after a few days using the "good" pens they seem to be running out of ink."
  • "So I bought these as a Black Friday special, it’s been less than a month since I got them and two of them dried up after writing a few sentences."
  • "All but the 1 and 2 were completely dry. Unfortunately, those were the ones I was using for a couple of weeks so I didn’t realize this until too late."
  • "I’ve only had these pants a month or so and they very dried out."
  • "It's only been a day and I've kept them in my pocket in a standing position and I reached to grab one of the pens today, and my fingers were completely covered in ink and so was my pocket."

Longevity and Durability

Pros:

  • "I’ve had these for about a year and they still work! They are great quality."
  • "I use this ink pens all the time and I’ve never had a problem!, they write and feel really smooth and they’ve lasted a long time!"
  • "They made watercolors actually fun and nice for me by giving me a nice clean, smudge-proof base to work on."
  • "These fine line pens are amazing, I've been using this brand since 2015 and I've never been disappointed."
  • "I'm disappointed with these pens. I have been using this exact brand only I've been buying them from Michael's."
  • "I have used these for years for art projects. My husband just borrowed the .005 size tip for writing in his Bible. It's been at least 8 years since I bought that one."
  • "These are the best artist pens I have used ever! The size range provides better detail and texture! My set are still going after about 10 to 15 drawings."
  • "I’ve been using these pens for years, this is probably my 5th set (in 12 years). They last a long time and are a blacker ink than other brands."

Cons:

  • "My daughter wanted these for Christmas. She uses them for taking notes and to make fine details on her drawings. Her only complaint is that the tips get a bit wider after heavy use."
  • "These are nice pens and I have owned them many times over the years. They produce good lines and ink density but I think they are for a more advanced artist not a beginner."
  • "I love these pens, I've been using these for quite some time. They dry out very quickly though."
  • "I have used these pens for over a decade. They don't bleed and won't mess up your markers."
  • "I have used these to ink my art for years and years. They consistently have good quality, last for quite a while, and years after the piece has been completed the lines are all still nice and dark with no bleeding."
  • "If you enjoy nature journaling, or doodling, or writing and then painting over (or in between the lines) then these waterproof pens are a must."
  • "I've been using these for at least a decade, regularly, for my doodle art/zentangle stuff."
  • "The reason I downgraded this fine pen series is because the cap keeps slipping off the far end and you could lose it and then have to throw away the pen without having a protective cap."
