Absorbency

Pros:

  • "They are very absorbant and easy to wash."
  • "They absorb a lot of liquid and they do not slip as much as other pads have done."
  • "They are waterproof so no urine leaks through at all, they are sort of like diapers as they absorb the urine and then actually dry out in areas I noticed within the day."
  • "These pads soak up the urine, so if they walk in it after urinating, there is no urine on our hardwood floors."
  • "They are very absorbent; they don't leak off the sides or through the back."
  • "These pads are VERY, very absorbent and easy to clean."
  • "They absorb great and do not leak."

Cons:

  • "I’m disappointed with this product. I bought it before and it’s been fine but this time it leaks right through to the mattress."
  • "I am highly disappointed in the absorbency of these pads so if you were looking to use them in the same purpose that I do I would not recommend."
  • "This particular set of pads has little absorption capacity and an inferior back-lining that allows moisture to seep through onto the bed."
  • "The pads absorb pee and do not go through to the carpet but they do not wash well. The pee stains are left on the pads."
  • "The pee seeps right through to floor and I might as well have used nothing."
  • "They dont work. My very expensive mattress is ruined soaking in pee! These paddings where supposed to protect my mattress. Unfortunately they do not protect anything."
  • "UPDATED review:BEWARE -As my review title says, these pads only lasted 6 months before losing their waterproofness."

Durability

Pros:

  • "They last for a long time as well and can take quite the beating."
  • "We have washed them many times, and they have still held up over time."
  • "I bought mine in 2014. To say they're durable is an understatement. I've washed them a hundred times and they only show the slightest wear."
  • "They have held up incredibly well with the rough handling they have received and are perfect for what I purchased them for."
  • "After a couple of years of use, they still look and function like new."
  • "I've ordered several these pads several times overs the years, they are the best pads I've ever used, they wash well and come out perfect after repeated cycles through the Washer and Dryer."
  • "These pads look brand new. They are not stained, and they have held up great."

Cons:

  • "However, the pads that came in my most recent order are substantially different and sub-par."
  • "The backing is not the same material at all, they hold less fluid by far, there are long strands hanging off the ends of many pads, the stitching is inconsistent along the seams, they are very stiff and scratchy, and the quality in general is very poor compared to the first batch."
  • "I bought these in 2021 to use as potty training pads for the dogs I foster. After a few washes, they started to shred like in the first photo."
  • "They started leaking... I paid a big amount for the cheap quality."
  • "But the 8 pads in the second order are completely worthless for what I intended to use them for and I only ordered those after trying out the first set which performed very well."

Value

Pros:

  • "Good value - I'll buy more of these if needed."
  • "Much better than disposable bedding protection!"
  • "They are more economical and environmentally friendly than disposable chucks."
  • "The cost savings and benefit to the environment over using disposables are SUBSTANTIAL."
  • "These are washable and reusable so they also save money!!!!!!"
  • "There are four for a good price, they are pretty big and cover a lot of area, and they have not leaked at all!"
  • "Completely worth the money, will be buying another set!"

Cons:

  • "I would rather go with cheaper ones, at least then i Would not have to worry about it."
  • "I'm quite pissed I spent so much money on pads that are completely worthless for what they're designed to do."
  • "I will now have to order a different product. Loss of 30.00."

Washability

Pros:

  • "I simply wash them with detergent and a bit of vinegar... and they come out fresh and looking like new."
  • "WASHES WELL! DOES NOT SHRINK OR PILL."
  • "They are heavy, thick, super absorbent, helps keep bedding fresh longer."
  • "I washed and dried in the drier, the pee pee spots all came out with just regular Tide - no stains - there was no shrinking of the pad either."
  • "They launder very good. Very light bleach. They dry very good too."
  • "They also wash and dry beautifully."
  • "They wash really well."

Cons:

  • "She did wash them and said they took a very long time to dry."
  • "For some reason fabric softener is not recommended."
  • "Though, you do need to ensure they are completely open before running your load or else the excrement will not be completely washed off."
  • "One note is these can cause your washer to go off balance frequently."
