Non-Stick Quality

  • "Not sticky at all, I can cook egg rolls without oil and peel egg off without breaking it."
  • "The Teflon is of amazing quality! Eggs just don't stick."
  • "So far, the teflon coating is like new. Just as good - if not better - than anything you will find out there for square rolled omelette."
  • "First off, nothing has stuck to this pan yet. Nothing."
  • "Legit non stick even without oil."
  • "The non-stick is very high quality, and is very easy to clean."

Cons:

  • "However the pan was sticky and hard to roll tamagoyaki."
  • "Not 100% non stick, eggs in the dry pan do stick, not the most enjoyable."
  • "The base of the pan was not non-stick and unfortunately, the eggs were ruined."
  • "The surface is not as non-stick as my other pans. you do have to oil the pan between each rolling."
  • "Works fine without greasing-up."
  • "Also, this pan does take some getting used to. In the beginning until you know how to properly heat and oil the pan, your food will probably stick."
  • "Once the pan is seasoned correctly, it is genuinely a non-stick coating."

Heat Distribution

Pros:

  • "Nice and thick material that holds heat well."
  • "Heat conducts evenly and quickly."

  • "The pan heats evenly."
  • "It's a little slow to heat up but when it does it stays hot really well."
  • "The heat distribution is even and it makes a perfect omelet."
  • "Heat distribution on the pan is perfect."

Cons:

  • "However, the heat distribution on this is just not acceptable for tamagoyaki."
  • "The corners that aren't over the induction surface do heat a little slower, but doesn't seem to cause a problem in actually cooking."
  • "But heat distribution isn't so great, so the corners dont get hot fast enough."
  • "When I tried to boil water on the stove, I could see the heat distribution is more to center round area."
  • "The bottom of the pan is not perfectly flat."
  • "The metal is too thick and draws a ton of heat into the handle."
  • "The pan heats up fast and the heat is evenly distributed."

Design and Build

Pros:

  • "It's quite sturdy for its size, and incredibly easy to clean."
  • "It's heavy duty and feels like it will last for years."
  • "The pan is nicely weighted, has a non-stick interior & exterior and does the job the way it is supposed to work."
  • "The color and finish is beautiful."
  • "I was dazzled by the aubergine luster, the machined stainless induction plate and the graceful cast aluminum handle."
  • "The pan itself is great, solid and sturdy, great attention to detail, it's certainly worth the cost."
  • "This pan is beautiful. Perfectly weighted, and nothing sticks to it."

Cons:

  • "There are scratches on the side of the pan as shown on the pictures."
  • "Also, its edge is pretty sharp, and the corners already started to be peeled off when I look very closely."
  • "I order the medium size one. It did come with a dent/chip on the edge of the pan."
  • "Looks like a beautiful pan, but why would a heavy little pan come shipped in a plastic bag? The edges of the pan are all scratched up and the bag is actually ripped. Terrible."
  • "Would have preferred packaging in a box as I feel this could have easily been damaged in a simple bag."
  • "Pan is good looking and looks quality made. HOWEVER, as you can see from photo, small aluminum pan in a BIG box with inadequate packing means dented pan."
  • "I've ordered several low cost Tamagoyaki pans from Amazon and most of them got damage its coating in 3 months and all had cleaning issue."

  • "It's genuinely the perfect size and shape to make 3 egg tamagoyaki."

Cons:

  • "Great for tamayaki sandwiches, but a little small for omelettes."
  • "The process takes too long for multiple servings so I bought two pans."
  • "I thought maybe I should've got the larger size but 5.5 x 7.5 works perfectly for making a single serving."
  • "The medium is a bit smaller than I had anticipated but it is the perfect size to make tamagoyaki."
  • "I got the large one and although the measurement in the description is correct, it looks much smaller than what I imagined."
  • "This pan is just too small to try to make rolled omelettes, especially for someone trying to learn."
