Comfort and Design

Pros:

  • "It’s made of great material, is designed perfectly well to fit right underneath your buttocks."
  • "The perfect fit for post-op foot elevation. Having previously used a giant stack of unstable pillows, this is such a relief."
  • "Very comfortable and held my leg at a very comfortable angle."
  • "Contoured perfectly to elevate my leg."
  • "It cradles just right and provides lots of comfort they wouldn't otherwise have had with a regular wedge pillow."
  • "This pillow worked very well for me. It’s soft yet firm enough to handle leg weight. The design makes it really comfortable for your knee."
  • "This pillow was very comfortable and kept my foot in place and prevented me from rolling around and injuring myself."

Cons:

  • "I found the pillow too short and the slope too steep to be comfortable with the brace."
  • "The edges are not high enough to hold your legs on the pillow, because any little turn would make your legs fall off the pillow and make your injury worst."
  • "It felt very hard on my leg and I glad to supplement with a pillow under my leg to separate from the hardness of the leg rest."
  • "I wish the front (where the foot sits) was an inch or so higher than the rest of it so the foot is elevated instead of even with the knee."
  • "I find that if I lay on my side my foot comes out of it."
  • "The fact that is is designed to bend the knee may make this impractical for a knee replacement initially."
  • "I’m going to return this one and order some thing at a lower height."

Material Quality

Pros:

  • "The quality of the foam seems good."
  • "The foam material is sturdy but also comfortable."
  • "The pillow is firm enough to hold its shape while being soft enough to feel restful, it doesn't sink or get indents."
  • "The cushion is just the right amount of support!"
  • "This cover was soft and the wedge stayed whole."
  • "It’s supportive, comfortable, and wide enough to actually fit my brace, which is VERY important."
  • "The pillow was great out of the package but didn’t work for the injury I had. I had a tibia Plato break, torn tendon, and a torn mcl."

Cons:

  • "The quality was excellent, comfort excellent and my ability to sleep comfortably after the surgery was greatly increased by having a soft, secure, sure place for my leg to be held steady."
  • "The only downfall is it being memory foam you can already tell where it is wearing out."
  • "Nothing like the pictures. The foam is flimsy, has no support and is 1/2 or a 1/3 of the size of the grey and white cover."
  • "However I'm extremely disappointed that in less than 5 days the fabric has picked very easily (Velcro ace bandages) and is getting a tear at a seam."
  • "In our opinion the quality just wasn't there."
  • "Did not receive item as pictures or description advertised product. No support and did not conform to size and shape as displayed. Cushion was soft and not supportive in any sense."
  • "Product is very comfortable and soft. Only this is the cover material could be better quality after 2 weeks of using it’s started to have issues."

Functionality and Convenience

Pros:

  • "Having your foot and leg raised in this position will also take a lot of pressure off your lower back if you have back problems."
  • "Used after foot surgery and was the only thing that helped me get sleep. Kept swelling down & helped keep pain levels manageable."
  • "The elevation pillow holds my leg at an optimal angle and spreads pressure around evenly to reduce pain."
  • "I love the handles! They make it super easy to move around by myself."
  • "It also fits in bed perfectly and gives me pain free sleep."
  • "This cushion keeps your leg well positioned to prevent sliding especially when sleeping."
  • "It has been a life saver for post surgery. It is very comfortable, and the gradual height really makes a difference."

Cons:

  • "Really lame now I get to fight and see if I can get my money back."
  • "I was excited to have something that looked like it would prevent my casted foot from falling to the side, but the walls of the scoop are not high enough for that."
  • "When this product arrives it is compressed... Didn't happen. Sent it back and got credit."
  • "The only slight issue I had is it is a little bulky so I needed someone to carry it for me whenever I wanted to move."
  • "Doesn’t stay put! Had to keep waking up to adjust it."
  • "I’m 5’2” and it was hard to use in my recliner it was too big."
  • "This pillow isn’t too heavy to carry around to different locations in your home (and it has handles), but it’s bulky, so it might be awkward to try to carry it while using crutches or a walker."
