Leak Proof Design

Pros:

  • "Leak proof, survives full days of class and transportation back and forth on the bus!"
  • "This thermos is one of the worst water bottles I've ever purchased. Leak proof? NOT at all!"
  • "This stays cold and is a great cup and easy to hold, but the straw part gets pushed in often and when this happens it will leak."
  • "I like the thermos as does my daughter. it doesn’t leak and it works really well."
  • "We’ve been using funtainers since my kids started school. They hold up super well despite drops, they don’t leak, and they’re easy for young kids to open and close."
  • "It doesn’t drip unles shaken upside down."
  • "Easy to use, holds a nice amount of water, keeps it pretty cool, and my 3 year old can use completely independently without mess."
  • "This is NOT leak proof! I love that it’s not plastic, but any time it’s not standing straight up, it’s spilling."

Cons:

  • "My problem is if this thing gets knocked over sideways and you're not around, it's going to leak a big puddle."
  • "However, it leaks. There’s a tiny opening in the plastic surface where the straw is located which allows for water to come out."
  • "If the lid is open and turned upside down, it will continue to pour out the contents."
  • "This water bottle can take a beating. My toddler has dropped it many times... on purpose!! The only thing that sucks, is that the designs easily comes off."
  • "The only draw back is that the cover may fall apart if it slips from their little hands when in use."
  • "It advertise as dishwasher safe so I tossed it in my dishwasher for a couple washes. Then the clear lid that holds the straw turned cloudy after the wash."
  • "It will also spill right the straw, right after you fill the bottle and open the cap to drink."
  • "Wish it didnt spill when turned upside down with lid close."

Durability and Quality

Pros:

  • "My 13 month old will only drink water out of this type of straw, so even though this cup isn't necessarily for babies and toddlers his age, I decided to try it for keeping in the diaper bag."
  • "This is exactly what I wanted. I love Barbie but this was for my 2 year old (and her Barbie lunch box) and she loves the handle."
  • "My child is still a preschooler and these hit the mark because of the snap closure. They aren't leak proof but she's old enough to not hold a cup upside down without knowing the messy consequences."
  • "Thermos has never disappointed! This container will last forever. It's sturdy, easy to clean, easy to hold, easy to fill, and a great color for my young daughter."
  • "My toddler received this thermos from nana about 2.5 years ago--it literally gets knocked off the highchair at least once a day, crashing to the floor, so in 2.5 years, that's hundreds and hundreds of drops."
  • "We've bought multiple of these products for my kids over the years. In the Florida heat, you'd be amazed at how well they maintain drink temperatures."
  • "I bought this for my 2 year old. So far it has worked out pretty well. Here's what I like: -Easy to clean with a bottle and straw brush- all the parts come off and back together easily."
  • "I like that i got it for my 6 year old, but I could just as easily have handed it to my toddler. It's solid, doesn't break, doesnt leak, super easy to hold, not as easy to clean."

Cons:

  • "This cup is used!!!!! The decals are scratched off in many places, the plastic part at the bottom is scuffed and the straw is literally chewed through at both the top and bottom."
  • "I've had this for about 6 months now, the design is starting to come off. It started off with scratches on it, overall it's a good cup and keeps ice cold throughout the day."
  • "I had HIGH expectations for this water bottle. We live in Las Vegas where we can easily reach over 115 degrees. This water can hold ice for less then a day and still maintain cold water even after the ice is gone for the rest of the day."
  • "The theme inside the cup needs more.protection."
  • "I already have the Yeti 12 oz jr. tumbler (on the left/pink). My daughter wanted another design with hearts (Thermos on the right). I purchased and there is no way the thermos tumbler is 12 oz."
  • "It’s happened three times now. First it was my finger. Some noticeable discomfort but I know how to reduce the pressure. Oldest sons finger got sandwiched between the handle and the lid."
  • "Designs look beautiful and long lasting even after being thrown and dropped still holds up."
  • "This is a very good water bottle for toddlers. I have gone through several munchkin water bottles but have been able to hold on to this one a while."
