Sound Quality

Pros:

  • "These speakers really surprised me! For the price, I was expecting merely adequate, but I got great sound in a compact, slim design."
  • "Sound quality was great! I don’t game, which explains the 1 star."
  • "No issues, fairly good sound quality (for what it is), and actually good volume."
  • "They sound great for being less than $15."
  • "The volume is very clear even at high setting."
  • "The sound is incredible and they do not take up a lot of room on my desk."
  • "These speakers have a great sound and tone and a very good price."

Cons:

  • "These speakers are terribly underpowered. I understand the limitation of USB power only.... but these don’t provide enough volume. That should be advertised."
  • "While I wasn't expecting rich full sound they still surprised me with how tinny and gutless they were, easily getting distorted."
  • "The sound quality is awful. These speakers get decently loud but I couldn't recommend them to anyone despite your budget."
  • "The actual volume is far to low."
  • "Even after adjusting settings it doesn't get particularly high."
  • "Sound is mediocre and buttons do not work unable to adjust volume unless through the PC."
  • "The sound quality is not good at all. Tried many different settings and was only slightly able to improve."

Volume Control

Pros:

  • "No installation other than plugging it into your PC and sounds amazing and especially for the price."
  • "The volume is very clear even at high setting."
  • "Very pleased with these fairly small speakers. Clear sound. Good volume control with mute button."
  • "They connected to my computer- I could control the volume from the speaker and it would adjust on my computer."
  • "Simple buttons to raise and lower volume."
  • "Love the fact that it's utilizing USB only, and no 3.5 mm cable! Great digital sound, I will buy it again!"
  • "These little speakers sound fine, have sufficient volume for my needs."

Cons:

  • "The button-based volume controls do nothing connected to the RPi, my guess is with other setups they simply would adjust the host's audio."
  • "Wouldn't buy again. quality is just okay, buttons on the front of the speaker don't actually work, but for $15.00 not worth returning."
  • "The volume only goes so high and the quality isn't the best."
  • "These speakers have no volume control. At volume 0, they're mute; at 1-100, they're the same extremely loud volume."
  • "As others have stated there is no volume control. Whether controlling the volume on the computer volume control or the speakers themselves (they are the same control), there is almost no difference between 1% and 100% volume."
  • "The volume control does not work."
  • "The volume is very low. Even on maximum volume, they weren’t usable unless I was really close to them."

Design & Build

Pros:

  • "For the price, I was expecting merely adequate, but I got great sound in a compact, slim design."
  • "I chose these speakers because they wouldn't clutter my desk."
  • "Perfect solution. They are loud enough for my basement workshop and I have no complaints."
  • "These speakers are small and compact, but they sound every bit the part."
  • "The speakers are not too small and not too big, just right for laptops and outside carry about."
  • "These speakers are designed nicely and fit well into my desk's decor."
  • "They are small and fit nicely behind the extra monitor that I am using."

Cons:

  • "The two-speaker wired setup is kind of hassle nowadays."
  • "The USB cord is also too short to go from the outside of my monitor to the docking station."
  • "The cord from speaker to speaker is pretty short and there’s no way to make it longer to have a bit more distance between the speakers."
  • "Cord between speakers is to short to work with a dual monitor setup."
  • "The tall design makes them easy to knock over (eg. fall off your table - which isn't healthy for speakers lol)."
  • "They're also tall and easy to knock over, but the sound quality is fine for the price."
  • "They are too light and reverberate with the slightest volume."

Reliability & Performance

Pros:

  • "No installation other than plugging it into your PC and sounds amazing and especially for the price."
  • "These Logitech computer speakers are pretty good. Certainly easy to plug in and use."
  • "So I ordered these because my laptops music jack was broken. These plug into your USB port and they worked perfectly for me."
  • "Great for what I needed them for. Just needed sound for my new computer."
  • "Easy installation--only had to plug the USB into an available port (they are powered from the USB power) and Windows 10 did the rest--truly plug-and-play."
  • "These speakers work fantastic. Logitech is the only brand I will use when it comes to stuff for my computer. These work excellent and I love the sound quality that comes from these speakers."
  • "Simple to install and use, just plugged into USB-A, was recognized by PC and worked without an issue."

Cons:

  • "The speakers frequently quit working and I have to disable and re-enable them."
  • "These speakers randomly disconnect and won't show up on the list of connected devices."
  • "Sent the first set back as the volume controls didn't work. Now after another couple of months, they no longer work."
  • "Strange volume control system. THEN went silent after only a little use in ONE month."
  • "Now, they will out of nowhere stop working."
  • "The only issue I had was the sound was cutting in and out while I had them plugged into a powered USB hub. Plugged directly into my machine, they work fine."
  • "Today they finally started to have connection issues causing them to disconnect randomly."
