Brightness and Light Quality

Pros:

  • "They illuminate with bright white light. In small rooms, it illuminates the whole room as if it were a ceiling bulb."
  • "It was extremely bright! So, I tested out the other features, such as the zoom option, and I love how I was able to focus in on an object."
  • "Needed a small flashlight for a show I was judging. This worked great, small enough for my pocket, bright enough to do the job."
  • "These flashlights put out a lot of light from a compact package."
  • "Both the regular and UV flashlights provide a very strong beam and can be adjusted from a very broad wide beam to a very tight spot."
  • "The light itself is very very bright and by changing its focus you can basically make it into a white laser beam."
  • "These flashlights are exactly as they are described!!! Very bright!!!!"

Cons:

  • "The light isn’t as bright as I was hoping it would be."
  • "Great for power loss in house but do not think these small light will illuminate much out doors."
  • "The UV light is decent but too dim and the white is pretty dim as well."
  • "The flashlights themselves are very nice, but the brightness is underwhelming, even after focusing the beam."
  • "These flashlights are horrible. They were bright the day I bought them, but they quickly lose their power and never get it back."
  • "The T8's have very distracting light dispersion characteristics."
  • "OK, but they get dim very quickly."

Build Quality and Design

Pros:

  • "It is heavy and feels durable and sturdy."
  • "This compact flashlight is well designed and well made. It seems sturdy."
  • "Both lights fell like they're constructed really well, like they'll stand up to some real abuse."
  • "Amazing little flashlight! Well built, brightness is incredible and it’s easy to use."
  • "Both lights are sturdy, substantial, lightweight but heavy duty—they feel like 'tactical' lights, and claim to be shockproof and waterproof (I have not tested that)."
  • "These flashlights are way nicer than I expected. Not cheap junk. Well built metal flashlights."
  • "This light is built solid (and HEAVY...I was impressed by how heavy it was) and looks as if it will last years to come with proper care."

Cons:

  • "However, after about 2 months, the first flashlight broke."
  • "These are cheaply made. The case is metal but the rest of the parts are just plastic."
  • "One of them has a really loose 'zoom' lens - gravity makes it fall into 'spot' mode."
  • "The end where you access battery is machined poorly."
  • "The plastic cylinder inside the battery compartment did not reduce the inside diameter to stabilize the 18650 battery, the battery wobbles around inside the flashlight."
  • "One of the flashlights wouldn't stop flashing like a strobe. The company did not respond."
  • "Would be a GREAT flashlight had the entire button assembly not fallen out and apart when I put batteries in it for first time."

Battery and Power

Pros:

  • "I use Duracell, so even with about 2 weeks of intermittent use in the OLD flashlight, it’s doing AMAZING!"
  • "The lights include a AAA battery holder but it will also accept 18650 rechargeables (sold separately)."
  • "I'm using NiMH batteries finding they give me long life, consistent brightness, and don't leak."
  • "Battery change is easy peasy with a turn of the bottom cap and a large rechargeable battery comes out."
  • "Spare rechargeable batteries are readily available."
  • "Rechargeable without removing the battery. Sufficient battery life for my needs."
  • "Works equally well with ordinary alkaline or rechargeable NiMH batteries."

Cons:

  • "These are bright adjustable flashlights but uses 3 - AAA batteries. This is a ridiculous number of batteries for such a small flashlight."
  • "Good brightness but the 18650 battery drains rapidly."
  • "HAUSBELL Mini T6 Flashlight -- FAIL. Eats batteries so aggressively it is unusable!"
  • "The switch started to go out about 4 months ago and I didn’t figure out that it was eating batteries on a weekly basic due to the switch."
  • "I am extremely disappointed with the battery issues."
  • "I paid over $25 for it and it didn't last but a couple of months."
  • "Instead it needs 3 AAA batteries or 1 18650 battery - not included."

  • "I found the box that they came in and saw it had a 1 yr warranty."

  • "I emailed the seller and ~24 hours later, I had 2 brand new flashlights delivered."
  • "1 of mine broke and I contacted Hausbell and they replaced it per the warranty."

  • "One of the flashlights wouldn't stop flashing like a strobe. The company did not respond."
  • "Just like the first ones I got the replacements have the same problems."
  • "I'm looking to replace them both but will avoid this brand although the newer model might be improved for all I know."
  • "Lights seems nice at first, but both of them stopped working in a couple weeks and unfortunately I waited too long and my return window closed."
  • "The second flashlight sometimes won't come on at all unless I push the 'on' button repeatedly even with a fully charged battery."
  • "Got these as a gift for Christmas. One fell apart within three weeks from push button on end."
