Ease of Use and Grip

Pros:

  • "The grip on the handle of these make these his favorite - easy to hold, easy to hold food and he enjoys teething on them in between bites."
  • "My baby can easily grip the handle and feed herself, and she likes gumming the head of the spoon."
  • "They’re great teethers for babies - easy to hold and put in the mouth."
  • "Perfect size and weight for a baby to be able to hold and control."

Cons:

  • "However, my baby has trouble holding them as the handle does not have much grip."
  • "These spoons are very small and disappear inside my giant 11 month old's hands."
  • "The only drawback in my opinion is that since it doesn’t have a guard he sometimes gags on them."

Design and Functionality

Pros:

  • "These pre-spoons are great! They’re durable and make it so much easier for my 6 month old to feed herself because of the flat shape."
  • "The flatness of them makes it easier for the little to actually get the food on the spoon and in their mouth."
  • "These are contoured for baby mouth and tiny hands, they are intuitive for baby to use."
  • "It's great for those teething with the bumps AND it's amazing for pureed food!"

Cons:

  • "Got these for my infant son when he began 'solids' but did not find them very useful as the early foods are thin mush and do not stay in/on the spoons."
  • "We wanted to love these, and we did for the design and utility, until we started noticing food getting stuck in between the lines where the rubber meets the plastic."
  • "The only thing I really dislike is that they’re 'hand wash only' but it’s worth it."
  • "Food would get trapped in the handle between the plastic and silicone."

Cleaning and Maintenance

Pros:

  • "Very easy to clean, I just throw them in the top rack of the dishwasher."
  • "They also gave my baby the sense being independent and eating with us at the table."
  • "Light weight, easy to hold for a baby. Super great item! Definitely recommend from a developmental therapist perspective too."

Cons:

  • "My baby liked them but every time they got so dirty on the handles in the crevices between the silicone and plastic."
  • "I have only used these spoons for 4 months before I started noticing a dark color collecting underneath the plastic handle."
  • "These handle okay as far as baby grasping them to practice self feeding, however after a month of consistent use, I have noticed food accumulates in the crevices of the silicone grips in the center of the handles."
  • "Food gets stuck in the handle grip part between the hard and soft plastic and is difficult to get out."
