Efficiency and Ease of Use

Pros:

  • "It literally just takes maybe 30 seconds to clear his nose out; compared to a few minutes with a normal bulb."
  • "It makes cleaning my 5 month old's nose so much easier than just using a traditional bulb syringe."
  • "This one really makes it so much easier; which means a lot less fussing for baby."
  • "It’s easy to use, assemble, and clean."
  • "Easy to use and quick for the little ones that don't like it."
  • "It's easy to use on my babe...I like to spin the nasal piece around to get a thorough cleaning."
  • "Using this nose sucker compared to the Frida Baby nose sucker is a BREEZE."

Cons:

  • "While device can be disassembled, it can still be difficult to reach far flung contents in the bulb during cleaning."
  • "It’s a little hard to suck out stubborn boogers that are far back in my baby’s nose."
  • "Felt like I had to apply such an extreme amount of suction to get anything out."
  • "Difficult to get enough suction through the filter. Ineffective, barely removed any soft mucus."
  • "However, the bulb part is very difficult to clean out well."
  • "It’s hard to get inside the large bulb part."
  • "When taking the tip off to rinse, the snot gets everywhere if you don’t do it over the sink."

Design and Cleanliness

Pros:

  • "This particular unit comes apart and can be easily cleaned and sterilized."
  • "It's also easy to clean because it breaks down into 3 parts."
  • "All the pieces (besides the single use filters) are easily washable."
  • "The whole assembly can be taken apart and cleaned efficiently."
  • "It's kind of gross that you can see what you are doing; but at the same time it makes it so much easier to clean."
  • "I love that it's clear so you can see if anything comes out."
  • "It comes apart easy enough to clean."

Cons:

  • "The only I don’t like is the way the material of the aspirator and tubing gets cloudy and sticky after washing."
  • "Beware, the orange tip of this product is made of a really hard plastic."
  • "The only downside is that, when I washed it with hot water, the plastic got a bit cloudy."
  • "Bubble shape is harder to clean than a conventional Aspirator."
  • "It's a bulb and sucker all in one and it snaps and stays together very well. Pretty easy to clean."
  • "The distance from the tip to the filter is much shorter than other brands, meaning mucus can come in contact with filter much more easily."
  • "When I received the product, I did have to give it a good cleaning before using it. It was dirty with green and black fuzz."

Comfort and Safety

Pros:

  • "It's comfortable for you and baby and I like that you control the amount of suction needed."
  • "Using this aspirator is simple, and the soft, silicon tip allows for it be used comfortably."
  • "Soft, silicone tip: with the NoseFrida the tip is hard, blunt, and rather large."
  • "The tip is small enough to fit inside my little ones nose and she actually loves it."
  • "The tip is soft enough to fit comfortably... if foreign objects up the nose can be considered comfortable."
  • "Softer silicone bulb allows better suction for small baby nostrils."
  • "The nasal tip was small enough to work at 1month old."

Cons:

  • "I honestly do not think this is better than the nosefrida. I found it very difficult to suction."
  • "I don't feel like the suction I can create is really strong enough."
  • "Adequate suction can also be difficult to achieve."
  • "The suction power is the best when you have little ones who hate having their nose suctioned."
  • "If you are sucking too hard to get it to work then reassemble or change the filter as it should be easy."
  • "You have to use a lot of air/lung power to extract the mucous."
  • "My son would cry and really hate it."
