Durability

Pros:

  • "The edges are well-sewn, preventing fraying even after multiple washes."
  • "I've used these often over the last year."
  • "They are great quality and large enough to fold and flip so you can get a lot of use out of each one."
  • "After multiple uses and wash cycles, they maintain their integrity, proving to be a durable and sustainable cleaning solution."
  • "They are super durable. I have washed and dried them about 4 times so far, and they are still in fabulous condition."
  • "So far have not unraveled or shown any signs of coming apart."
  • "A few years later, several washes, and still in good shape."

Cons:

  • "They are very thin and not nearly as absorbent as true microfiber."
  • "Embarrassingly thin."
  • "They're too thin and small - lots of folding to do if you use many of them."
  • "These are much smaller, and also they don’t absorb as well as the others."
  • "I found a couple of them wearing thin in spots too, which puzzled me."
  • "Unfortunately, after using the white ones to wipe up food spills, I found that they stain badly."
  • "I then used 3 of these cloths to clean my motorcycle. I placed the dirty cloths in the washing machine and when I took them out, the cloths all had small holes."

Cleaning Efficiency

Pros:

  • "If you hate cleaning, you will love these cloths. They make cleaning a breeze."
  • "They clean, much better than the cotton I've been using."
  • "The cloths don't smear the product and absorbs access cleaning product from surface."
  • "So much better quality than the leading store brand or any other microfiber towels I’ve tried."
  • "These really do pick up dust!"
  • "They absorb great and when cleaning residue, crumbs and debris stick to them for a good cleaning!"
  • "They are the best cloths for cleaning our glass stovetop and have been terrific at cleaning windows and other surfaces since they are lint free."

Cons:

  • "But Do Not think you can use this for dusting or cleaning windows or mirrors for dust free/lint free results."
  • "But I am finding these clothes are leaving streaks despite thoroughly wiping the windshield."
  • "First, they aren't the world's most absorbent."
  • "Cloths themselves are not as absorbent as other microfiber cloths."
  • "These cloths continue to be somewhat repellant to water. They will absorb water, but not without a bit of work."
  • "They now repel water at first contact, requiring effort / pressure to absorb liquid."
  • "I can't use them on glass due to the lint left behind."

Material Quality

Pros:

  • "Cloths are 90% polyester 10% polyamide hemmed on all sides and clean well."
  • "Towels are gentle enough to clean eyeglass lens perfectly but easily handle the toughest jobs."
  • "The microfiber quality of these cleaning cloths is top-notch."
  • "They are awesome and you get a bunch for a great price!"
  • "These are my absolute favorite microfiber rags I’ve ever used and I’ve tried many, many different brands."
  • "They are as soft as a baby's washcloth."
  • "They are GREAT quality and look cute stacked in color separated piles on my shelf!"

Cons:

  • "These are 90/10 blend microfiber towels which are not suitable for using on car paint. They are not that absorbant or plush."
  • "These towels should not be classified as micro-fiber at all."
  • "Also, each one comes with a ridiculously large tag on it - why?!"
  • "Not suited to cleaning glasses, laptops or tv as a bit too coarse for that."
  • "I would not use these on your car's paint, records, furniture, electronics, etc. They also leave a bad lint trail. Fabric is abrasive feeling."
  • "The new ones -- fresh out of the box -- are much thinner than the old ones."
  • "These cloths are some of the worst I've ever ordered."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "Considering the quality, quantity, and durability of the Amazon Basics Microfiber Cleaning Cloths, the affordability is outstanding."
  • "They are durable and are also soft enough for me to use them with my furniture polish."
  • "By using these cloths we are saving a lot of money we used to spend on paper towels."
  • "They are economical enough that I have a lot, so there is always a clean one."
  • "They're so economical that throwing a really dirty one out instead of washing it doesn't break the bank."
  • "They are awesome for cleaning car windows, appliances, or even for cleaning my husbands glasses."
  • "They're reusable, so I don't have to *keep* buying them."

Cons:

  • "They also shrank to about 2/3 of their size after washing so they’re about washcloth size now."
  • "Very thin and not so absorbent, you get what you pay for, it gets the job done."
  • "Also they are cheap enough to replace them when they get too worn out."
  • "They're ok for drying hands. Definitely don't have the home cleaning power of the more expensive brands."
  • "I thought I was getting a good deal for a 24 pack but you can get a better deal at Home Depot for a 24 pack at 8 bucks for microfiber cloths."
  • "Absolutely the worst product I've ever gotten from Amazon. Absorbancy doesn't exist, whatever is being cleaned up sticks to the fabric even with repeated rinsing."
  • "Get better quality softer ones if you want to clean a nice new car as these will probably not do your paint many favors in the long run."

Washing and Maintenance

Pros:

  • "Love the colors though and they do wash well."
  • "Easy to toss in the wash."
  • "They also wash easily and can be used multiple times as I have had some for years that are still holding up great!"
  • "They are easy to wash and we just throw them right in the dryer without issue."
  • "Super easy to wash."
  • "They wash well and reuse and reuse and reuse..."
  • "They wash and dry well."

Cons:

  • "They really should be washed separately as others have suggested."
  • "They do stick to our other clothes and REALLY stick to velcro though, so people might want to wash them separately."
  • "Mega static buildup (normal with all microfiber)."
  • "The blue and yellow colors ran onto the white cloths. Be careful to wash with like colors for subsequent launderings."
  • "Be careful what you wash these with... The bright yellow bled onto the others."
  • "Worst of all there are tiny worm-like things randomly stuck on both sides of the cloth after laundering, and they have to be removed by hand with tweezers one by one."
  • "Just image the space need to line dry 24 of these! Inconvenient."
