Fabric Quality

Pros:

  • "The fabric is absolutely thick enough that it hides all lumps and bumps, covers panty lines, and is just deeply flattering."
  • "The material is great! Not that flimsy, practically sheer stuff a lot of brands sell now."
  • "Fabric is thick, good quality, & very soft."
  • "They stay smooth, they are thick enough to not be see-through but not too thick."
  • "The material is not sheer and feels nice to touch on the skin."
  • "These shorts are opaque without being too thick."
  • "The fabric is high quality and delivers light compression."

Cons:

  • "WHY did Baleaf switch to polyester? Polyester is a substandard fabric - not as cool OR long lasting."
  • "Material is course and doesn't stretch like other spandex type fabrics. Not comfortable at all."
  • "The fabric is pretty thin, and the pockets are useful. These shorts are a little bit too light in weight for me."
  • "They are literally see through and not very compressive."
  • "The fabric definitely needs work. Not as advertised as it does not have any compression at all."
  • "The black shorts are shinier and thinner, though some of that may be that where the charcoal fit perfectly, the black are stretched tight enough to show the entire world not only my panty line, but practically the design of the lace on my panties as well."
  • "The material is very bunched up in crotch area."

Fit and Comfort

Pros:

  • "They fit like a dream, the buttery soft brush makes them feel exactly like lulu biker shorts, and they are compression fit."
  • "I’m usually a size small in athletic bottoms, and the size small fit perfectly."
  • "I love these shorts!! I workout quite often and we do exercises like burpee, bicycle crunches, dead lifts, suicides and squat pulses and I never have to adjust my shorts."
  • "I love that there is no center seam. This makes them especially comfortable."
  • "They hold up through workouts and sweating and still comfortable enough to relax in."
  • "They’re comfy and hold everything in but I don’t feel like they’re cutting me in half."
  • "They fit great, very comfortable and lovin the pockets."

Cons:

  • "I love these but they have a hard seam at the top which will give you a muffin top if you have a tummy and you are not careful."
  • "Since there’s a bit of extra room they bunch around my crotch in a weird way."
  • "The crotch panel is about 1 inch too far back, in other words, not where the crotch is, so there is cameltoe in the front."
  • "No tummy control either."
  • "Although, there is not a ton of compression, and they might slide down a bit if I was super active."
  • "The waist band rolls down the legs roll up and the thread on the seams has frayed a lot!"
  • "I purchased my usual size, but it was super small. I could not even get them pulled up."

Design and Features

Pros:

  • "The 3 pockets are the best feature."
  • "My phone doesn't bounce or fall out of the pocket on the entire run."
  • "Pockets are an added bonus."
  • "The side pockets for storing other items throughout my day is very convenient."
  • "The side pockets can hold a phone and a small water bottle without bouncing."
  • "The pocket is also the perfect size, not too big but big enough to hold my phone securely when working out, running or whatever."
  • "The pockets are large and fit my giant phone and a set of keys with ease."
