Effectiveness

Pros:

  • "In a week we could see results."
  • "On average, I use this twice daily for 7 to 10 days and then the wound is all healed enough to where the skin has healed over and the infection is gone."
  • "Within a week of applying this with a gloved finger twice a day my fissures were healed and I canceled surgery."
  • "Within a week you could barely see where her infection was."
  • "I had wounds that were years old, and in a single day this honey was helping heal what I thought couldn't heal at all."
  • "I had a bee sting 3 weeks ago and for the heck of it put some on the sting with a band aid. Usually I blow up around the sting and it gets red and hot. This time it only swelled a little, took the sting feeling out of it and it was gone in 6 days."
  • "This stuff is nothing less than AMAZING!!!!! I had a really deep open wound on my leg and after about a month it just wasn't healing. Then I ordered the Manuka Wound Honey and within 3 to 4 weeks it's completely healed."

Cons:

  • "The only problem with this wound honey is, it's like putting pure honey on your skin. It's very, very, thick, and it never dries like it claims."
  • "Unfortunately though, it has not yet helped the ulcer on my big toe."
  • "One remains unopened."
  • "It's very, very, thick, and it never dries like it claims."
  • "But I'm told it's sticky, so you need a bandage to cover the area where it's used."
  • "Skin around also stays red and sore to touch."
  • "This must be old honey because it’s not smooth at all and it has crystallized."

Texture and Application

Pros:

  • "The first tube was great, soft and easy to apply."
  • "The honey does not sting when applied, and washes off easily."
  • "I love, love, love this stuff!!!!"
  • "This one was the best value and closest to pure honey without other ingredients, as far as I could tell."
  • "It is very easy to use by applying with a Q-Tip and keeping the wound area clean."
  • "Clean and cover with a bandage coz it’s really sticky."
  • "It went on easily and smelled like honey."

Cons:

  • "I used this on vacation, left it behind, and ordered a new one from Amazon. Unlike the first tube I used, it crackles from the sugar that has harden, so it feels like sand when rubbed onto skin."
  • "I have tried to use this product several times and it is extremely hard to get out of the tube."
  • "Drawback is it’s super sticky so use a glove or gauze when applying!!"
  • "It is also so thick I cannot squeeze it out of the tube."
  • "This product was extremely thick to spread on and it would stick to me even when i was trying to rub it on my puppy's paws."
  • "The honey is very thick and i have to be careful if i am wearing clothes as I think it can damage or stain."
  • "It is a sticky/ tacky substance and you may consider covering with bandaid to keep from contact with clothing and other surfaces!"

Value and Convenience

Pros:

  • "I highly recommend it ... a little goes a loooong way, so $ wise it’s a dang good deal!"
  • "Definitely recommend it!"
  • "I recommend this for every 1st aid kit, with the exception of those allergic to bee stings or pollen."
  • "I apply it on every little scratch as well as acne or broken skin from cold weather! I will keep this product handy always!!"
  • "I use this for all the owies around here and have a spare for our hiking trips."
  • "I would recommend it to everyone who believes in natural herbs medicine..IT WORKS."
  • "I would recommend this without reservations."

Cons:

  • "The price is pretty steep for not sure what'll you get."
  • "Why is this product not returnable, this is ridiculous!"
  • "It’s not returnable so this was a waste of money."
  • "My guess is it is old and has lost moisture, meanwhile the ad says it cannot be returned."
  • "Since I can't return it I'm going to throw it away as I don't feel comfortable using unsealed cream on a wound."
  • "Because you won’t let me return it, to buy another makes it $50.00 a tube and that is too much money."
  • "Very overpriced.. I would like my money back!"
