Fit and Comfort

Pros:

  • "They are what I expected...light weight and as comfortable as can be expected."
  • "It’s a great fitting mask especially around the chin and mouth due to that bottom strap."
  • "I chose this mask because it was made in the U S A and, therefore, less likely to be counterfeit. Quality is high as is function - tight fit but not tight on the nose."
  • "Their shape allows for more breathing space and their fit is not fatiguing."
  • "They fit my face well without digging in, and close to the nose- which may have reduced the glasses-fog my 3M masks caused."
  • "These are soft and conform easily to your face."
  • "They fit well - I’m able to get a good seal, but am still able to breathe normally."

Cons:

  • "Getting a good (i.e. required tight) fit is nearly impossible."
  • "This pack of N95 masks cannot be worn correctly because the straps are wrongly placed."
  • "But it didn’t fit like a good n95 mask, felt cheap, and pressed uncomfortably down on my nose."
  • "Does not create a good seal around nose area. It leaves an open gap."
  • "The fit is fine size-wise, but the metal flexible tab at the top is flimsy and doesn't retain its shape, and there's absolutely no sealing around the bridge of the nose."
  • "These are one size fits all for sure. My husband does not have an extremely large head pretty normal, and is very tight on him."
  • "This product does not adhere closely to your face because the straps are very cheap and loose."

Strap Design and Ease of Use

Pros:

  • "Extra hassle with two straps but necessary and effective with my hearing aid and cochlear implant."
  • "The straps seem sturdy to me unlike other reviews complaining about how cheap the straps are."
  • "Don’t have to worry about sores behind the ears because one elastic goes over back of neck and the other over crown of head."
  • "The multiple straps were a bit annoying at first, but they do stay in place well."
  • "Purchased these specifically because the elastic does not go behind the ears."
  • "The BNX masks have a much longhand more durable string the goes comfortably around your head gently."
  • "These masks have straps that go across the back of your head and don't pull on your ears."

Cons:

  • "In hindsight it seems impossible to miss but this is an over the head loop rather than over the ear like the rest of the masks I was considering. This makes it difficult to take on and off quickly if going into a store and it sounds like the fit varies."
  • "The two subsequent deliveries contained masks with a high failure rate. The elastic has snapped off about 50% of the masks and usually on the first wearing."
  • "I've been using this brand's KN95s for some time and loved them, but recently decided to try to upgrade my protection level. Unfortunately, the N95 version has the strap pop off at the lower right attachment point 2 out of 3 times I go to put one on!"
  • "Two of the mask's straps broke off while attempting to use them for first time."
  • "It's a pain to put on and take off and the bands are too short for a big head."
  • "I've had a problem where the elastic straps break off, the first or second time I try to put the straps over my head, for most of the masks I've tried from the pack so far."
  • "This most recent batch, every 3rd mask has had the band break."

Quality and Certification

Pros:

  • "I am an Uber driver and have remained protected thanks to this awesome NIOSH certified N95!"
  • "Love that this is one of the few black N95 masks that are readily available. Fits and works well, and is NIOSH certified!"
  • "The price was comparatively good and they were certified and made in the USA."
  • "My research indicates this is indeed NIOSH certified and not a counterfeit."
  • "These masks (N95) are approved and certified NIOSH."
  • "I am also very pleased and comforted to know that this is manufactured in the USA, a fact that might explain the strong craftmanship and durability of this product."
  • "The N95 performs and meets or exceeds all the NIOSH specifications."
