Effectiveness in Preventing Stretch Marks

Pros:

  • "I have had two babies in the last three years, and I have been left with very minimal stretch marks."
  • "I bough this lotion along with the vitamin E oil that palmers sells and I used them during my pregnancy to prevent stretch marks AND IT WORKED AMAZINGLY!"
  • "I used this for both of my pregnancies, religiously, applying morning and night. I have zero stretch marks!"
  • "I’ve been using it almost every night before going to bed since my first trimester and I have no stretch marks so far."
  • "Like the smell & consistency of this lotion. Really seems to soak in good. Haven't got a stretch mark yet & I am 30 weeks pregnant. Plan to keep using this as a preventative."
  • "I used this cream throughout my last pregnancy ever since I learned I was pregnant as a preventive to get stretch marks and it worked. I did not get a single one stretch mark from my big preggo belly."
  • "I’ve been using this my entire pregnancy and it’s been great. I’m seven months and not a stretch mark in sight."

Cons:

  • "This product does NOT help prevent stretch marks. I used religiously and still have many stretch marks all over my stomach after my pregnancy."
  • "I recently gained a lot of weight in my thigh area and I bought this thinking it would help with the RED stretch marks I got, but after using the whole bottle and applying it every night before bed as well in the afternoon there is not difference in fact my stretch mark kept spreading."
  • "I have been using it twice a day with no help with stretch marks."
  • "I can honestly say that I think this product gave me stretch marks."
  • "I have used this RELIGIOUSLY... Still got the tiger stripes."
  • "I started using this after I saw one stretch mark come up (so probably a little late) before this I used coconut oil. Either way it did not prevent more stretch marks."
  • "Thought this would help to prevent stretch marks, but not really. I still get stretch marks after using this. At least it takes away the itchiness of my skin, but I can't use too much because it gets build up so easily!"

Texture and Absorption

Pros:

  • "The lotion is thick, rubs in well though."
  • "However, I do love this lotion and I don't feel it on my skin like other lotions. This soaks right into my skin."
  • "It keeps my skin soft and moisturized."
  • "It is very nice texture, doesn't leave sticky residue and a little does go a long way."
  • "This cream is thick and moisturizing."
  • "It absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy."
  • "Absorption is very good, and I don't have a sticky feel afterwards."

Cons:

  • "It takes a while to dry which slows down my morning routine."
  • "I put this on in the morning and when I shower at night my belly is all slimy, which makes me think it isn’t even absorbing into my skin."
  • "I personally don't put a lot of product on because it does not dry or soak into the skin well. When it does dry it leaves residue on top of the skin that flakes off and is very irritating in my opinion."
  • "It leaves a bit of a thick sticky residue as well."
  • "It doesn’t really absorb into the skin as it says. And when it dries, it like rolls up into sticky balls."
  • "It is a thick and sticky consistency that never fully dries down on the skin. Your shirts will stick to your belly."
  • "It’s super sticky after it dries. Kind of has a glue smell, doesn’t smell like cocoa butter at all."

Scent

Pros:

  • "I would have given this product 5 stars if it didn’t smell so terrible!"
  • "Kind of smells like sunscreen, so I kind of wish it was totally unscented."
  • "It's has an extreme smell of cocoa/chocolate."
  • "The lotion has a nice scent not too strong just enough."
  • "First time the scent was delightful. Rich cocoa butter that was soothing and calming."
  • "The scent is different than what I expected, but still pleasant and light."
  • "It smells great too so even during the nausea and vomiting phase it didn't bother me."

Cons:

  • "But goodness, this lotion smells awful!"
  • "It smells HORRIBLE. It smells like melted plastic."
  • "It's awful, it smells like rubber or plastic."
  • "All I can think of is that it smells like my Grandmother... the scent is so perfumey it makes my eyes sting."
  • "The smell is terrible."
  • "This lotion does not smell good. (It's kind of skunky to be completely honest.)"
  • "The smell, not great. It does not 'stink', but it is not pleasant."
