Comfort and Fit

Pros:

  • "It's so comfy and soft and true to size."
  • "It was lose enough to be so comfortable but still gave me all the coverage I needed."
  • "The small/medium fits perfectly. It’s large but with the tie for the empire waist it looks very flattering and is perfect."
  • "I’m 5’6, was 200lbs at 38 weeks pregnant and I got the small/medium and it fit perfectly."
  • "The gown is loose and comfortable fitting as I wouldn’t want anything tight around my bump."
  • "I am 5’9” and 215lbs at time of delivery and large fit perfectly."
  • "I am 4 foot 11 and 180 lbs the small fits me perfect."

Cons:

  • "The fabric wasn’t as soft as I was expecting—definitely needed to be washed a couple times before the big day."
  • "Not at all happy with my purchase. I didn’t realize it was a large/extra large so it’s going to be HUGE on me when I deliver."
  • "It is not made long enough in the front to accommodate the extra fabric taken up by my belly at 36 weeks."
  • "The size does run a little large but it’s expected since it’s caters for pregnancy."
  • "I would need a medium/large and when I went to look it looks like they don’t even offer that size."
  • "The downfall is there are only 2 sizes which leaves us 'outliers' just putting it on and relying on the drawstrings to make it flattering."
  • "I originally bought the L/XL based on reviews but it felt like a sack on me! So I exchanged for the S/M and was much happier but will say that the chest area was too small then."

Design and Functionality

Pros:

  • "Easy access for the doctors, nurses and anesthesiologist."
  • "It is exceptionally comfortable and was so easy to get access to heart monitors, epidurals, and the chest for skin to skin."
  • "Having gowns that fit and cover everything, but also unsnap easily for pumping, IV access, and exams by my treatment team has been so nice."
  • "All of the snaps are in the perfect places for easy access for the baby monitors, epidural and skin to skin."
  • "It has convenient clasps where they need to be."
  • "Love that it has buttons on the shoulders to nurse and buttons all down the back for anything they need to do at the hospital."
  • "The buttons on the back covered my butt and back but still was perfectly accessible for the anesthesiologist to administer my epidural."

Cons:

  • "Sadly, one of the snaps broke on the right strap within a half hour of wearing it."
  • "The buttons can come undone on their own sometimes."
  • "The top part would benefit from an additional connection (like a nursing bra has) to prevent the back piece from falling behind when trying to nurse/pump."
  • "It was hard to re-snap the straps after trying to breastfeed (they were hard to reach behind you once unsnapped)."
  • "The waist drawstring was a little annoying as it kept coming undone and didn’t really do much as far as keeping a shape to the waist...I wish they would have just put an elastic there instead but it was more of a nuisance than anything."
  • "The only complaint I had is that it snaps up the back and I felt like it left gaps."
  • "The buttons in the back were never utilized and so now make it look more for examination than just a regular nightgown."

Material Quality

Pros:

  • "It's a nice, thick material. Good quality."
  • "I’m very happy with my purchase. Thick enough cotton material."
  • "The snaps and openings will be very useful and quality of the stitching seems very good."
  • "The material is nice and cotton."
  • "The material is so much softer than the hospital gowns provided."
  • "The fabric is so soft and even after many washes, it stayed soft!"
  • "The fabric is thick and comfy, not thin and flimsy as we can be."
