Filter Quality

Pros:

  • "These filters remove everything from the air. I change it about once a month, because it gets so dirty. We live in the country, so we have a lot of dirt and dust."
  • "This wall air filter is excellent protection from dust and pet dander. I feel like it’s much cleaner in my condo after I replace the old filter."
  • "Well-made air conditioning filters that do exactly what’s described. They filter the pollutants out without restricting airflow too much."
  • "Bought these as a recommendation for HVAC company over the cheap generic ones and these definitely pick up more debris and last longer."
  • "This filter is a really good product as advised, I will keep buying this product from now on the AC works smooth and the air fills clean."
  • "These filters worked great! I have allergies that flair up during peak seasons and these filters have greatly improved my symptoms and air quality in our home."
  • "These filters are good for homes with pets. I notice much less dust and cat hair since I started using this filter instead of the expensive 'permanent' filter I bought from Sears a few years ago."

Cons:

  • "This filter is not sturdy at all you can’t even get it out or in on the unit because it is so cheap made very disappointed with the quality and product."
  • "I just got berated by the heating and cooling guy because I was using a MERV 6 filter and it was putting too much of a load on the motor."
  • "This product is deceiving. Recently had my AC serviced with filter change and within 2 days the filter was dark grey. My AC tech said this is common with this brand filter design. Makes you think you need to change more frequently than you really do."
  • "This had my unit gasping for air at pretty much any time it was on, causing my electric bill to almost double."
  • "It is only an inch thick and often gets stuck in my furnace and has to be ripped out."
  • "The frame collapsed and the air conditioner made an awful noise."
  • "Restricted air flow too much causing the furnace to overheat and turn off."

Filter Fit and Size

Pros:

  • "The filter fits more snug than the other filter I had bought previously at the big wally store too."
  • "These filters are the right size and the exact same quality as filters I have purchased at our local stores."
  • "They were very easy to install with arrows pointing to the correct airflow."
  • "These came well packaged and was perfect fit."
  • "Good quality, perfect fit and easy installation/removal."
  • "Fits in that slot just like you would think something made to fit in there would."
  • "They appear to be genuine, fit well into my furnace, and are appropriately dusty when I remove them."

Cons:

  • "Most times, this will not fit into my filter compartment as this filter appears to be a little larger."
  • "We didn't open the box of filters until 10 days after receiving the package. Much to our dismay, the edge of one of the filters is damaged and may not fit into the slot in the furnace."
  • "The fit was very tight to install."
  • "These aren't the cheapest filters either. And they don't last 3 months."
  • "These are not really fitting. they are in both directions by 1/2 inch to almost 1 inch too big for the vent grill designed to fit."
  • "These filters are not the size they say they are. Though just a tad larger then stated, they do not slid into the filter slot and they get damaged trying to stuff them in."
  • "When I received the filters they were both so badly bent, one of them wasn’t even able to be used in the air conditioner."

Value and Convenience

Pros:

  • "Cost is less expensive than super market."
  • "I will gladly continue to purchase these through Amazon, have them conveniently shipped to my door, and avoid any store crowds."
  • "Love the filters and love having them on my subscription plan. Now I never miss replacing my filter every three months."
  • "Once we discovered we could get these filters online for a much better price we were sold."
  • "The price is good on Amazon so I decided to purchase them here."
  • "I particularly like the idea of not having to worry about running out and having to run to the store and pay the retail price."
  • "Amazon has some of the best prices."

Cons:

  • "I just discovered I have been paying nearly $20 more for Filtrate filters with the same MPR and MERV rating."
  • "It was delivered a day late but I understand weather gets in the way and the pandemic doesn’t help either."
  • "Product was delayed twice and came damaged - cancelled subscription and wont be ordering again, might as well go to the store because it's quicker and cheaper."
  • "These filters themselves are the best in my opinion. I’ve used them for a while and they’re just solid all around. My issue is Amazon sells this 2-pack for $30 when the EXACT product 2-pack is $20 at your local Blue and Orange stores."
  • "Last year, I bought this product for 23 dollars and change. Had to pay almost double that here just last week for over $34 dollars."
  • "The price is way too high."
  • "A bit too pricey for me. I can get a equally good filter in bulk much cheaper."
