Accuracy and Reliability

Pros:

  • "I believe the device is working well and is close enough to accurate for monitoring changes at home."
  • "Changing my 4 stars to 5."
  • "It’s accurate for readings and the price is 1/2 if it 1/3 of the price you will pay In the store."
  • "I really like the red numbers, it is much easier to read then the blue one my work gave me."
  • "Worked right out of the box. Seems to be accurate."
  • "Product worked excellent, like you see in a doctor’s office."
  • "I am using the product to measure my oxygen, and to make sure that I am keeping my oxygen at a good level."
  • "This pulse ox is accurate, durable, and comes with a convenient lanyard and silicone case."

Cons:

  • "This device can take an incredibly long time to find a reading and when it does, it can be wildly inaccurate."
  • "Takes too long to display a reading and then sometimes it doesn't display the reading at all."
  • "This pulse meter is designed incorrectly."
  • "When you pushed the start button it would light up but it doesn't produce añy readings."
  • "This SPO2 meter was reasonably priced and came with new batteries which only lasted a couple of readings."
  • "Use periodically to check my pulse rate and compare to a blood pressure machine I have which has pulse rate and BP. Takes forever to relay information, if it does work, and pulse is way off."
  • "I paid extra $$ to get this overnight shipped to me but its readings are inaccurate."
  • "After several months, it began taking a long time to show a reading. Then sometimes it would take several tries to get any reading at all."

Build Quality and Design

Pros:

  • "As for the protective cover, mine is not too loose and not too tight."
  • "Even came with a cute rubber case for it."
  • "The silicone cover is a great idea but it fits poorly & slides off on it's own regularly."
  • "I’m just a nursing student, but this is required in my school. Yes, it was a bit pricey for not having to use it often but let me tell you I love the protective case it comes with & of course it’s my favorite color so it’s a win plus it works great."

Cons:

  • "The little cap that covers it it's just a little piece of plastic that I wasn't even sure that was included with it."
  • "The outside protective covering is cheap and almost never stays in place."
  • "This 2nd one is 'better' but NOT what was or should be! Still loose fitting; takes forever for any sort of reading, if anything appears!?"
  • "The Zacurate model has numbers that look broken--like old computer printout numbers--and they are all the same size, so overall it takes a few seconds of study before it can be deciphered."

User Experience

Pros:

  • "I'm very pleased with my oximeter. The only reason I give it 4 stars for accuracy is because I haven't confirmed my meter with the doctor's office. However, using my meter is easy. Easy to use and understand. And the purple is pretty! :)"
  • "This pulse ox is so excellent to keep on hand!"
  • "Every now and then I feel light headed. My doctor says my oxygen levels are sometimes lower than other times. With this device, I am able to keep track."
  • "I use this almost everyday at work. I really like the red numbers, it is much easier to read then the blue one my work gave me. It can be a little finicky at times, but mostly accurate."

Cons:

  • "It worked pretty good at first, but now it takes forever to give a reading, and sometimes it just won't ever give a reading, despite the fact I have extensively warmed my finger as it advises."
  • "This didn't work so I returned it. (They did readily accept my return and gave me a full refund.)"
  • "Bought this so it would be easier to takes someone O2 instead of rolling a machine in their room. Only thing is sometimes it takes a little bit to read and I would be standing their for a little bit and then have to switch it to another finger."
  • "Pretty cheaply made. If you don’t sit perfectly still it will not measure your O2."
