Comfort and Fit

Pros:

  • "They fit perfect in my shoes but recommend to remove original insole first."
  • "An added plus--and, for me, with high top hiking boots, too-the thinner area toward the ball of the foot and toes is stiff enough that it slides right in, rather than buckling over as most over-the- counter insoles do."
  • "I had a skecher go walk 4 wide size 11, got the same size powerstep and slip it in without removing the original sole. It fit like a charm."
  • "Fit: I would say that they run small, but close to size. I wear a mens 8.5 / 9 and the 9-9.5 fit PERFECTLY without cutting anything."
  • "The size 7 fit perfectly into my size 7 sneakers."
  • "They're a perfect fit and very comfortable as well."
  • "They fit my size 7 1/2 size shoe perfectly and help with my over pronation. Very comfortable."

Cons:

  • "Was told these were good for flat feet. Turns out they weren't because they hurt my feet so bad."
  • "One thing to note is they do not fit in my work shoes or fashion booties. Shoes need to be roomy in the middle to be able to fit these."
  • "These prove almost 0 cushioning. Much much less than the insoles that came in my shoes."
  • "The insoles are too short so my toes have the edge digging in my feet constantly."
  • "They were also pretty oversized for standard size shoes."
  • "These might be what you’re looking for, but they didn’t work for me. They are too wide and too stiff to fit in the athletic shoes they were intended for."
  • "These inserts are unfortunately too bulky due to the support along the midfoot."

Support and Pain Relief

Pros:

  • "They support my arch very well and provides great comfort in my shoes."
  • "These insoles were the replacements that came with my company issued red wing boots and it has saved me so much foot pain, knee and lower back."
  • "I have used these for years... These fixed it and I continue to wear to prevent any further issues."
  • "I highly recommend if you’re suffering from plantar fasciitis."
  • "These are great for walking, workouts, and anytime you are on your feet for hours."
  • "These orthotics are perfect for my feet. I have overpronation (flat feet) and have lost cartilage on the outer sides of my feet so I get pain when I don't have good support."
  • "These have made all the difference for my metatarsal pain."

Cons:

  • "But within a day his feet were in agony."
  • "It feels cheap and offers little to no support (heel, arch, or toe) and I can't believe Powerstep makes such a poor product."
  • "I thought this would have enough support... This may have cushion for your heels however it does not help w over pronation."
  • "I got these to help with plantar fasciitis and they are not helping, also, my feet hurt like crazy in them."
  • "These orthotics were painful in the arch and therefore could not be worn."
  • "After wearing for a few days, my plantar fasciitis heel pain increased."
  • "I suffer from plantar fasciitis... Unfortunately, I found the opposite to be the case, at least for me. These insoles are rock hard and cause pain rather that relieve it."

Durability and Quality

Pros:

  • "I keep going back to them since they last very long."
  • "Have bought more expensive insoles and have bought cheaper ones too... These seem to be built with better material and should hold up longer like my other ones."
  • "They last a long time and are very comfortable."
  • "Seriously they wear like iron and the original has yet to show significant wear."
  • "I've been using them for almost a year and they are still like new."
  • "I have had mine for 7 months now... The support feels great and I immediately felt the difference."
  • "I have a pair for every different pair of shoes I wear."

Cons:

  • "To make matters even more irritating I can’t even return this overpriced junk."
  • "The first pair was defective. The layers in both soles had separated leaving a sealed air bubble inside which was very uncomfortable."
  • "This pair was disappointingly not as supportive as the seven or so previous ones I have purchased."
  • "They felt great for a day and then just flattened out."
  • "I have worn this same insole for four years, this product has to be a forgery, not returnable."
  • "These Power Step inserts started causing heel pain because where there should be cushioning under the heal, it's as hard as a rock."
  • "The second pair had the same exact issue, but only in the left sole."

Customer Service and Return Policy

Pros:

  • "Super nice customer service lady, Cynthia, was extremely helpful."
  • "I was offered a replacement by the seller and decided on a refund instead."
  • "When I bought them, they were marked as not returnable. I had to chat with an Amazon representative to get a refund."
  • "What a quality company and a stellar way to treat their customers."
  • "I recommended them because even if you can't return them, they aren't as expensive as custom orthotics (much less)."
  • "Nice quality, they worked for me, and trying them has saved me a ton of money."
  • "I plan to purchase another pair for my other shoes!"

Cons:

  • "I ordered the wrong style and I cannot return them for the correct one so these were a waste of money and will just sit in a cupboard not being used."
  • "Even without wearing it there is a no return policy, and they only offer a customer satisfaction guarantee if it comes damaged."
  • "Went to go order another one a few days after receiving my original order so I could have an extra one. Unfortunately, the price went from $24 to $39 all of a sudden."
  • "These orthotics were painful in the arch and therefore could not be worn. Tried to do a return and it said non returnable however the box says different. Could not reach Amazon during the time frame it says for returns even though it wouldn't let us do a return. Now we are stuck with orthotics that can't be worn and out of money."
  • "I ordered the wrong style and I cannot return them for the correct one so these were a waste of money."
  • "When selecting from a drop down menu, all selections were listed as Men first, followed by women... leaving me with an insert I have no use for."
  • "The package was damaged and all the inserts explaining how to use the product were missing."
