Adhesion

Pros:

  • "This is a very good water resistant tape. It is very thin and flexible and adheres to the skin or any surface extremely well."
  • "I just started wearing HRT patches and they aren’t very adhesive! This product has completely sealed the area over the patches and it’s waterproof, sticks so well and is comfortable and is easily removed!!"
  • "It works just the same, doesn't cause irritation or rashes and stays on well."
  • "I highly recommend this product. It stays on for a long time. Great value for this package too. Cheaper than the drug stores."
  • "They're fully waterproof & stay on for about 3 days I found.....definitely recommend."
  • "Far surpassed my expectation. Needed to replace the cover placed by the hospital. It was so much better!!!"
  • "These work just as well if not better than the pricey ones."

Cons:

  • "Unfortunately, the edges of this dressing do not stick down well."
  • "This is a challenging item. I went through one whole roll and could NOT get it to stick to skin (yes, the area was clean before trying to place)."
  • "This is cheap plastic with cheap adhesive that rips off your skin as soon as you move even the slightest."
  • "The adhesive also left blisters on my skin."
  • "Difficult to apply, but worse yet, it adhered to the dressing and cannot be fully removed without also pulling off the Dr.'s dressing."
  • "These were a pain. They didn’t stick or stay in place while trying to take the back/ second part off."
  • "This product is very thin and cheaply made. I put one over my wound/stitches and the minute the shower water touched it, it started shrinking."

Water Resistance

Pros:

  • "This product was purchased because it is supposed to be a waterproof cover for a wound. It is definitely NOT waterproof."
  • "I usually purchase the roll of waterproof bandage cover - needed for my arterial cath. It never failed. I've used this twice (I gave it a 2nd chance) and both times the bandages underneath were soaking wet, not damp, but dripping wet when I removed it."
  • "Halfway through a 30 minute swim, the plaster was floating in the pool and being transparent, we couldn’t find and recover this!"
  • "Within 5 seconds after submerging, water got in and it started to peel away."
  • "These DO NOT keep out water. They are difficult to put on and they do not seal well and water gets into the wound."
  • "Got these to cover a dialysis catheter while showering, and these are definitely not waterproof."
  • "Needed a waterproof covering for hip surgery incision. Ordered these. Hard to use & then once it was on, did NOT prevent water from reaching bandage."

Cons:

  • "I've been on fentanyl patches and this is the perfect thing to use to cover them."
  • "They are generously sized and I have cut them in half, which is more than enough to secure my HRT patch. I have had no problems with them coming off in the shower, as far as I can tell, they are waterproof."
  • "This covered my patch perfectly. I wore the patch all week and it stayed dry and in place during showers, biking, walking, and swimming."
  • "Helps keep scrapes/cuts clean and covered. And very waterproof!"
  • "These waterproof bandages are great for keeping water off of the incision."
  • "Didn't let any water in at all. Would definitely recommend."
  • "Works amazing! Keeps all water out, and doesn't hurt to remove."

Application and Removal

Pros:

  • "I found this to be fairly easy to apply as long as you take your time."
  • "Very easy to remove and the adhesion works great."
  • "These transparent adhesive bandages are very simple for 1 person to use."
  • "They are easy to apply and remove."
  • "Easy to remove if you just grab one corner/edge and slowly pull it down - the adhesive will release as you pull, similar to the 3M removable strips for Command Hooks."
  • "They are super easy to apply and stay in place. Completely waterproof."
  • "Work exactly as advertised, adhere to the skin really well but remain comfortable and easy to remove."

Cons:

  • "These things are so hard to put on."
  • "Trying to remove the Protective shield is really hard it’s not friendly you pretty much mess up one and then another and another so it’s not worth the price."
  • "I wish I had read more about these before buying. They are a nightmare to remove."
  • "When I attempted to remove it, I couldn't get it unstuck from the monitor!"
  • "It was impossible to remove the bandage from the plastic."
  • "Very difficult to use! Had to use four sheet’s before it could be applied correctly."
  • "This product is awful. Extremely hard to remove protective film and IF you are able to remove the film from the protective tape it is all stuck together."

Skin Reaction

Pros:

  • "It works just the same, doesn't cause irritation or rashes and stays on well."
  • "I'm allergic to a LOT of adhesives. I was NOT allergic to this, so that's a big win right there."
  • "No rash, no blisters, no ITCHING. I'll purchase again if needed."
  • "I HAVE AN ALLERGY TO ADHESIVES AND REACT TO BANDAIDS AND MEDICAL TAPE BUT THIS I DON'T REACT TO, SO I OFTEN USE THIS TO HOLD ON GAUSE PADS INSTEAD OF TAPE."
  • "Of the 600+ clients I have used it on, only 6 have any adverse reaction due to the adhesive."

Cons:

  • "The adhesive also left blisters on my skin."
  • "I had the WORSE allergic reaction to them after 2 uses. I had to use benadryl ointment. If you have sensitive skin, I don't recommend."
  • "This was aweful. My skin was immediately irritated and after a painful removal of the bandage I had a huge rash for almost a week."
  • "So I bought these to wear over my sensor that I have to keep in my arm for two weeks at a time... It left this big welp around where the edge of the dressing was."
  • "It tore my skin on my stomach when I removed it. And broke out my skin."
  • "In less than 24 hours, my skin was broken out terribly with a painful rash and bumps."
  • "I usually don't write reviews that are negative but I had a bad allergic reaction when removing the sheet it took my skin off in the same area as my surgery which I was covering. EXTREMELY PAINFUL."

Value for Money

Pros:

  • "I highly recommend this product. It stays on for a long time. Great value for this package too. Cheaper than the drug stores."
  • "Way cheaper than what you can buy in a store. Highly recommended."
  • "These are awesome.. you get 50 for $10, store bought are $18 for 4. AND these go on, stick, remove clear backing........SO Easily Great great Value!!!"
  • "Best performance and affordability of the dozen or so other brands we’ve used."
  • "Best of all you get an incredible amount of adhesive bandage, that you can cut to your needs, for the price."
  • "The best part of using them is how cheap they are compared to name brand patches that can run up to a $1 or more EACH!"
  • "That last batch we bought was $15.99 for 50, which breaks down to about .32¢ each."
