Suction and Power

Pros:

  • "Absolutely love this thing. I use it several times a day and am amazed at the power of this thing and how much stuff it picks up."
  • "The suction is spectacular and a simple click pops the canister off to empty."
  • "It picks up as well as my corded shark vacuum, but it fits in smaller spaces due to its size."
  • "Suction is awesome. Better than many i hace tried, expensive and not so expensive."
  • "This Shark is ideal it picks up everything!"
  • "For a small vacuum, it picks up pretty good. It’s easy to empty. It’s lightweight but feels and looks like like cheap plastic."
  • "We love this little vacuum. Well-built, light and works like a champ."

Cons:

  • "The battery doesn't last very long, but it doesn't matter, this vacuum barely picks ANYTHING up, from carpet or bare floor."
  • "Unfortunately, it has not even sucked up normal dirt or crumbs since I bought it."
  • "Suction isn’t great, it doesn’t push or move easily, things get stuck on the roller extremely easily."
  • "Everytime I use it have clean the brushes that pick up the pet hair, then once its clean I vacuume the hardwood floor, it picks up NOTHING."
  • "It only moves the dirt from one place to another. Doesn’t suction well."
  • "This vacuum can barley pick up anything off of them."
  • "It barely sucks up anything."

Battery and Charging

Pros:

  • "Charges quickly, holds a charge well."
  • "I am happy with the suction and it holds a charge."
  • "It holds a charge really, really well."
  • "Awesome suction and will run a long time if you keep it fully charged."
  • "The battery lasted enough to vacuum a semi-large warehouse and deal with a lot of random crap and large pieces of dust."

Cons:

  • "I have to keep it charging for more than 10 hours in order to get a good 7 minutes of vacuum."
  • "The battery only lasts maybe 5-10 minutes."
  • "About 10 months in, I realized the charge was lasting a shorter and shorter amount of time."
  • "The worst thing is that it doesn’t keep its charge very long."
  • "It barely runs long enough on full charge to vacuum my kitchen and dining room. Maybe 12 minutes."
  • "The first one to arrive would run out of battery so fast compared to mine, that I knew something was wrong."
  • "Also which is just as annoying is that the charge doesn’t last."

Design and Usability

Pros:

  • "This is much smaller than the average vacuum, but has more power than a stick."
  • "I love using this Shark cordless vaccine cleaner. It is lightweight and picks up pet hair."
  • "This vacuum is perfect if you don't need to vacuum regularly. It's light, practical, cordless."
  • "I can vacuum the entire downstairs so quickly and conveniently every day. It’s quick and easy."
  • "She raves about how she can use it and doesn't have to have a cord or pull around a canister."
  • "I love that it’s cordless, lightweight, picks up pet fur easily and can switch between tile, lvp and carpet with one tap of my toe."
  • "This vacuum is easy to assemble."

Cons:

  • "Stairs are awkward only because you have to do one side and turn vac to do the other."
  • "This machine might be suitable for something like a dorm room or tiny studio apartment; but with no extra cleaning tools it's not suited to be a primary vacuum for even a small space."
  • "And it is extremely loud. The piercing noise that is emitted from a product that is not working very hard is astounding."
  • "It seriously feels like a kids toy."
  • "Don’t let those pictures fool you, really not good for carpet at all."
  • "This one, however, does not 'do stairs'...I use a hand vac to clean up the dust/cat hair on the wooden steps...this model, as the other two I have, are too deep to fit the stairs."
  • "I felt like it could break at any second."

Customer Service and Warranty

Pros:

  • "Customer service was good until the warranty ran out."
  • "I was going to give it a negative review till I called customer service. I did not have to wait long and they're shipping out a replacement part immediately."
  • "If anything ever goes wrong with one of their units they either send you the part fast or replace it with a new unit for five full years!"
  • "I called back and tried to talk to a manager... then they offered to send me the replacement part."
  • "They said it was an issue with the base & that I needed a new one, which wasn’t covered by the standard warranty. It was going to be $75, but the CSR offered a discount."

Cons:

  • "After contacting Shark, (Since it was outside the return window with Amazon) the part that was determined to be defective is coincidentally not covered under the warranty."
  • "Customer service was good until the warranty ran out then they said they will no longer help me."
  • "I called Shark, support person Amalia incredibly rude, talking over me, completely unsatisfactory."
  • "I called the Shark customer service and with an hour of trouble shooting they said there was nothing they could do."
  • "Shark customer service just informed me they do not carry replacement parts for this vac!"
  • "The warranty was one year and this conveniently broke about 3 weeks after the warranty was up."
  • "I will never buy a Shark product again given this experience! Unacceptable and terrible experience - DO NOT BUY!"
