Design and Build

Pros:

  • "Soft and cuddly for when my little chomper throws his face at it in excitement."
  • "It is very cute, soft to the touch, very colourful and even has a light up heart!"
  • "These puppies' hearts flash in various colors of the rainbow! How attractive!"
  • "The entire head, arms, legs, and ears are super soft, squishy, and cuddly."
  • "What catches my attention is the soft hold, welcoming bold colors, and the great facial features."
  • "The plush itself is solidly built and can take a decent beating from a child."
  • "This plush toy is well made and is safe for your child. The music and talking is clear and easy to understand."

Cons:

  • "The heart in the middle is hard to press for my 10m old since the toy is light and just slides away."
  • "However, some of the speaker inserts do have sharp edges though, the one on the right foot in particular and if baby gnaws on it, while teething for instance, it might injure his mouth."
  • "The buttons are not made with the same material as the dog. Kinda cheap material on the hands and feet where you can see the button you push."
  • "This product is dangerous for a teething 6 month old. The feet, hands and ear have these buttons inside that have extremely hard sharp and deep edges."
  • "Had it for a couple weeks and the stitching holding a leg on started coming out and the stuffing was at risk of coming out."
  • "This one was so cheaply made that it had holes through the material from play in only a week."
  • "Quality is so so, the back of the dog is hard, there is a motor inside, just cover it with a thin layer."

Educational Value

Pros:

  • "It's educational and durable. It's easy to change the settings. Perfect!"
  • "You press it's various body parts and it teaches your baby or toddler words, songs, and leads them in exploration."
  • "It is great for finding body parts along with the cute songs."
  • "Very educating toy. Describes every touch and sings some of the nursery rhymes."
  • "It teaches the alphabet, shapes, colors, body parts, plays songs like the ABC's, twinkle twinkle little star, itsy bitsy spider, head shoulders knees and toes, zoo animal songs, + more songs."
  • "One can learn colors, counting, silly phrases, tunes, songs, body parts, shapes, the alphabet, and so much more!"
  • "It helps to introduce them to body parts, alphabet, animal sounds etc."

Cons:

  • "This doesn't really seem like an educational toy as it is advertised to be."
  • "The biggest con to this toy is its ability to be washed, but that should come as no surprise."
  • "This toy only serves as a distraction from real learning."
  • "Product said it can sing tons of songs but really and truly you get very little... Why lie on a kids product like that."
  • "However, the size of it varies significantly from that of the photos they have."
  • "The speakers crackle when she talks and sings."
  • "I haven't counted them all but I don't think it has nearly the number of songs that it advertises."

Functionality and Durability

Pros:

  • "Christmas gift. Quite a hit. Niece 10 months old had no difficulty pressing and squeezing various parts to turn on the music."
  • "The puppy has many functions and is very sturdy considering my grandson chews on his ears and throws it around."
  • "This Laugh and Learn Puppy is one of my daughters favourite toys!"
  • "The toy will ask a child to find its ear after pressing its hand."
  • "My little one has no trouble squeezing or pressing any of the parts of this toy."
  • "The buttons in this doggy are easy to press, you can feel them easily though the material and they feel like a light plastic so they won’t accidentally hit themselves with it."
  • "Being 10 months old and teething, he also puts it in his mouth a lot. Thankfully, there is nothing on this bear that can come off and become a choking hazard."
