Assembly

Pros:

  • "It comes out of the box 90% pre-assembled, except for the handles."
  • "What little assembly there was, was very easy. Just pop on the back rest (spring buttons click to hold it in place.) Slip on the handles, keeping the brake lines to the outside."
  • "It was really easy to put together (took about 5 minutes)."
  • "We pulled it out of the box, attached the two handlebars, put in the 2 screws to hold the handlebars and ready to go. EZ PEASY!"
  • "I liked how easy this was to assemble."
  • "It comes practically put together- just two screws for the handles and a pin/slot for the back rest."
  • "This product was easy to put together. It took me a total of five minutes didn’t even need instructions."

Cons:

  • "The back bar is missing a locking button and therefore is not secure on one side."
  • "Screws provided for attaching handles to base are not long enough."
  • "Missing assembly hardware. Missing instructions."
  • "The wheel mechanism used to tighten the arms in place have been replaced with levers that require the use of a pair of pliers to prevent the screw from turning when the lever is being tightened."
  • "There were absolutely no instructions on how to put the bolts in and to use the custom washer."
  • "It took me nearly an hour of struggle to do what should be a 5-minute task."
  • "The cap for the handle height adjustment has threads so far inside there is no way of screwing it on."

Design & Quality

Pros:

  • "It felt well-made and looks high end."
  • "The frame is STURDY, more sturdy than the model I already had."
  • "It’s light weight, sturdy, adjustable and can easily fold up and fit into the car trunk or backseat."
  • "The large 8-inch 6-spoke wheels are very quiet, and roll over things like thresholds easily."
  • "Very happy with this purchase."
  • "It rolls smoothly and is very stable."
  • "The product is sturdy, and my grandpa is able to hoist himself up."

Cons:

  • "Cheaper specs = Less Quality for same model."
  • "The seat is fairly flimsy, and this is made worse by the fact that the seat extends WAY too far forward."
  • "Seat snapped! Has a 300 lb weight limit and my 165 lb snapped the seat."
  • "The Drive walker is made of poor materials, like the breaks system, which doesn't holds well enough."
  • "The seat is made of a compressed wood inside which breaks easily."
  • "The right handle was loose and gave play when pressure was placed on it, the material used is not solid like the one from 2014."
  • "The seat cushion is completely collapsed. I am 160#. You can feel the metal bars/supports under the very thin padding."

Functionality

Pros:

  • "It turns on a dime."
  • "It does collapse with a simple pull of a strap for transport."
  • "The Drive cupholder and front pouch are nice accessories."
  • "Transporting food and drinks on the seat is so useful!"
