Waterproofing

Pros:

  • "These blew me away on how amazingly effective they are! Follow the directions, you'll be amazed how it works: waterproof bandage forms a bubble over the raw spot, lasts 4-5 days, & speeds healing."
  • "I wore one bandage for 4 straight days it lasted through multiple showers."
  • "The waterproofing was great. All three incisions stayed dry, including my navel (belly button)."
  • "They kept my wound dry and adhered well in the pool, while showering, at night."
  • "It’s 100% waterproof if applied to freshly washed/dried skin."
  • "They're very comfortable and waterproof!"
  • "They last through showers, linty socks (I use them on my feet to protect my toes)."

Cons:

  • "Using them on my fingers, which is the hardest/best place to test waterproofing."
  • "They are not waterproof, so the hydrocolloidal pads get waterlogged if they get at all wet."
  • "Difficult to open bandaids, need surgical tape to keep them on in water."
  • "These are definitely not waterproof! Washing your hands a single time will cause the adhesive to start peeling off and water will seep into the gel pad."
  • "Have used them several times for nicks and cuts but found out they aren't very water proof and had to replace more often."
  • "These stay on reasonably well, but due to the hydrocolloid patch being almost to the edge on one side, they are not at all waterproof."
  • "Even when wearing a rubber glove in the shower, the dressing came off."

Adhesion

Pros:

  • "They stick really well if you take the time to apply it smoothly and carefully."
  • "These do not budge!! I've worn them for up to 4 days, and that's after oil cleansing every night and taking showers."
  • "These stick like nothing I have ever used. They promote healing, don't come off while washing hands, showering or other activities."
  • "The adhesive on all sides is wide enough to adhere securely."
  • "They adhere well and are very comfortable. Can’t even feel them on."
  • "They stay on so well! I will say don’t put these in a too sensitive area because they stick so well."
  • "Love these bandaids! They're perfect for blisters and add extra cushion to areas of my foot that rub against the shoe."

Cons:

  • "These are not meant for active wear. I got them to protect a blister on the ball of my foot. The first one I put on peeled at the edges and picked up dirt and lint."
  • "Don’t stay on very well on active areas (fingers, joints, etc)."
  • "But then once I got it on, it didn’t stay on for very long."
  • "The second my hand hits water, they immediately start falling off."
  • "These however don’t seem to stick very well. The ends come off your skin almost immediately."
  • "First one I applied to my hand and it started peeling off after two gentle handwashings."
  • "I have changed it 4 times in one day because it doesn’t stay stuck."

Packaging and Application

Pros:

  • "These things totally did the trick."
  • "This worked amazingly on my acne."
  • "The price of these is also really awesome! A lot cheaper than the brand names."
  • "They're a great price for the count ($7/40 bandaids)."
  • "I found the bandage very forgiving when I had to pull it up and reposition it the first time and it stuck beautifully and very securely to my skin."
  • "They are thin and the packaging is perfect however."
  • "Removeable adhesive cover is hard to grasp but easy to remove when you finally get ahold of it."

Cons:

  • "They are packed in packaging which I find difficult to open, but I'm old, so for others I'm sure it's not as problematic."
  • "The bandage package itself is difficult to open. The bandage ends are difficult to remove and often wrinkle as saran wrap does."
  • "My only gripe is the packaging. Why the need for plastic wrappers? It’s so wasteful. Paper would work just fine."
  • "The packaging is a huge waste of plastic."
  • "I don’t like discarding all that plastic, since it’s not recyclable."
  • "The major complaint is with how hard it is to remove the bandages from their packaging."
  • "The wrapping on each individual 'band aide' is very poorly designed."
