Softness and Texture

Pros:

  • "These towels are very soft, dry well and are easily washable."
  • "These towels are really soft and seemed like a good value for the price."
  • "Durable and very soft. This is the perfect texture for a washcloth."
  • "Very soft and very absorbent towels."
  • "They are very absorbent. Washed nicely and actually softened and fluffed up."

Cons:

  • "The material is quite thin and has noticeably stiffened after just a few washes and dry cycles."
  • "These towels arrive so soft and fluffy, but after only a few washes the terry gets all matted and lumpy and rough."
  • "Even after the usual 1st wash with vinegar to fluff up these towels they are not very absorbent."
  • "I was optimistic reading the reviews and, listening to reviews & directions, washed these towels before using them. They were immensely soft to start! They were still quite linty after the one wash and hadn’t lost much softness so I went for the second wash soon after (last night) and this is how they look coming out of the dryer. They’re falling apart and look pulled at - they were washed with one other small towel (that’s in fine shape but half green covered now) and with Tide, so nothing abrasive. They were dried on ‘medium’ with wool balls and feel almost like wool themselves, without much of the original softness left. They’re also still so linty that when you shake it there’s a nice green fluffy cloud."
  • "These towels are lighter and thinner than regular (i.e., not "quick drying") towels, but it does not affect their performance. They work fine, feel good, and yes indeed do seem to dry faster than a similar-sized regular cotton towel."

Absorbency and Durability

Pros:

  • "They are very absorbent. Washed nicely and actually softened and fluffed up."
  • "I was just looking for towels with excellent absorbency. When these arrived I was suspicious they wouldn't be, because they're so soft it made me doubt they were 100% cotton. However, they are super absorbent!"
  • "I love the color! And they are so soft when washing my face. I've had other washcloths give me rashes because they were rough. These do dry quicker than just regular cotton washcloths, which is great with two grandsons getting their faces and hands washed multiple times a day."

Cons:

  • "These towel are CHEAP!! and they shead all over the place, I will not purchase these towels again, I sent them back and the company sent me a message telling they will not refund my money if they are not up to their standards,"
  • "Needed towels and took a gamble on these due mostly to price being low, but unfortunately this is another instance of you don't even get what you paid for! The three most important features in a towel for me are absorbency, ability to dry between uses, and durability... But what I got are 2 towels that don't get me dry, stay damp to wet even though I only use them once a day, (so have 23hrs to dry), and the seams that are sown are coming apart just a couple months after very mild use. Won't recommend or buy again!"
  • "I have washed these towels 4 times now, and they still shed blue on my skin. It's hard to tell if they actually dry me because I stop using them while I'm still wet because of all the shedding. I may eventually give up. They were rated as the best value in a towel review article. But, too much shedding!"
  • "I washed these towels twice before using. The towels are very soft, but did not dry properly after I showered. I had to finish drying with another towel. Perhaps they require more washing, but I would not recommend purchasing at this point."
  • "The towels themselves are fine. Great if you like a thinner towel. The reason for the 1 star is because Amazon thinks they should be able to limit how many you buy. I'm actually trying to buy towels for more than one person in my family. I ordered 4 for myself some time ago. I ordered 4 more for my parents, and when I went back to order 4 for my sister, they told me I had reached my limit for this item. I find this policy draconian in light of the fact the towels are really not anything to write home about. Like I said, if you prefer a thin towel, this is the one for you. I am just writing this review to alert people that there is a limit on how many you may purchase, because apparently Amazon is king."
